Abstract

Membaca memiliki urgensi untuk menambah dan mengembangkan pengetahuan. Dari urgensi tersebut, penting bagi manusia untuk menumbuhkan rasa minatnya menjadikan membaca sebagai suatu kebiasaan. Maraknya keberadaan café yang saat ini menjadi gaya hidup menjadikan café semakin banyak digemari masyarakat. Salah satu inovasi dalam dunia perpustakaan dan informasi adalah maraknya konsep library café. Book of the Week merupakan sebuah program yang berfokus pada kegiatan rekomendasi buku dari pengikut akun @encykoffee yang dilakukan di Ency Koffee dengan menggunakan Instagram sebagai medianya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi program Book of the Week sebagai inovasi di library cafe yaitu Ency Koffee. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah action research yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner secara online. Sampel penelitian diambil berdasarkan simple random sampling dengan jumlah 96 orang pengikut akun instagram @encykoffee. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi program Book of the Week sebagai inovasi pada Ency Koffee sangat baik dalam meningkatkan minat baca dengan indikator semangat dalam membaca, kesadaran akan pentingnya membaca, daya arik untuk membaca, dapat memanfaatkan waktu luang untuk membaca, dan memiliki keinginan sendiri untuk mencari bahan bacaan. Kata Kunci: library cafe, minat baca, inovasi Reading has an urgency to increase and develop knowledge. From this urgency, it is important for humans to develop a sense of interest in making reading a habit. The rise of cafes, which are now a life style has made cafes increasingly popular with the public. One of the innovations in the world of libraries and information is the rise of the library café concept. Book of the Week is a program that focuses on book recommendation activities from followers of the @encykoffee account which is carried out at Ency Koffee using Instagram as the medium. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Book of the Week program as an innovation in the library cafe, namely Ency Koffee. The research method used in this study was action research which was carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and online questionnaires. The research sample was taken based on simple random sampling with a total of 96 followers of the @encykoffee Instagram account. The results showed that the implementation of the Book of the Week program as an innovation at Ecy Koffee was very good at increasing reading interest with indicators of enthusiasm for reading, awareness of the importance of reading, interest in reading, being able to take advantage of free time to read, and having their own desire to find material reading.
