Abstract

Program sekolah adiwiyata menjadi salah satu upaya guna mengatasi berbagai permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi di Indonesia dengan cara menanamkan karakter peduli lingkungan. Akan tetapi, ketika berbicara karakter bukanlah hal yang sederhana sebab berkaitan dengan pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan individu. Karenanya, peneliti tertarik untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh program sekolah adiwiyata terhadap ketiga komponen tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperolah melalui studi dokumentasi, observasi dan angket yang dilakukan secara daring kepada responden berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel yang didapatkan berjumlah 79 peserta didik dari jumlah populasi 370 peserta didik. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 1 Lembang, sebab salah satu sekolah yang melaksanakan program sekolah adiwiyata di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dan salah satu sekolah yang mendapatkan penghargaan sekolah adiwiyata tingkat Provinsi Jawa Barat. Temuan penelitian, yakni (1) program sekolah adiwiyata tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pengetahuan peduli lingkungan, hal ini terjadi karena dampak dari adanya pandemic Covid-19 yang mengharuskan peserta didik untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring tanpa terbebani capaian kurikulum oleh sebab itu materi mengenai wawasan lingkungan tidak sepenuhnya tersampaikan (2) program sekolah adiwiyata memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan, bisa dilihat dari peserta didik yang dapat mengetahui sikap dalam menghemat air, listrik, bahan bakar dan cara mengelola sampah (3) program sekolah adiwiyata memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tindakan peduli lingkungan, sebab tindakan peserta didik dalam membiasakan diri membawa tumbler dari rumah merupakan salah satu tindakan mencegah kerusakan pada lingkungan. Kata kunci: Sekolah Adiwiyata, Karakter, Peduli Lingkungan Pengaruh Program Sekolah Adiwiyata Terhadap Karakter Peduli Lingkungan Peserta Didik ABSTRAK The Adiwiyata school program is one of the efforts to overcome various environmental problems that occur in Indonesia by instilling a caring character for the environment. However, when talking about character, it is not a simple thing because it is related to individual knowledge, attitudes, and actions. Therefore, researchers are interested in describing the influence of the Adiwiyata school program on these three components. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through documentation studies, observations and online questionnaires to respondents based on simple random sampling technique. The samples obtained were 79 students from a total population of 370 students. The location of the research was at SMPN 1 Lembang, because one of the schools that implemented the Adiwiyata school program in West Bandung Regency, and one of the schools that received the Adiwiyata School Award at the West Java Province level. The research findings, namely (1) the Adiwiyata school program does not have a significant influence on knowledge of environmental care, this happens because of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic which requires students to carry out online learning without being burdened by curriculum achievements. the environment is not fully conveyed (2) the adiwiyata school program has a significant influence on the attitude of caring for the environment, it can be seen from the students who can know the attitude in saving water, electricity, fuel and how to manage waste (3) the adiwiyata school program has a significant influence towards environmental care, because the actions of students in getting used to bringing a tumbler from home is one of the actions to prevent damage to the environment.
