Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan rendahnya kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran Pendidikan Agama dalam Membangun Karakter Peduli Lingkungan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan terhadap peran Pendidikan Agama islam, yang digali melalui proses wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Kemudian data tersebut dianalisis dengan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi, display dan verifikasi data. Adapun hasil penelitian di temukan bahwa: satu, Pendidikan Agama Islam berperan sebagai lembaga yang mewadahi program membangun karakter peduli lingkungan di sekolah. Dua, konsep membangun karakter peduli lingkungan di sekolah menengah pertama di awali dengan pembinaan spiritual peserta didik kemudian dilaksanakan melalui mata pelajaran PAI yang terintegrasi dengan program GPBLHS (Gerakan Peduli Berbudaya Lingkungan Hidup Sekolah) atau disebut Adiwiyata. Tiga, materi yang di sajikan dalam membangun karakter peduli lingkungan mencakup materi-materi mata pelajaran PAI seperti Ṭoharoh. Empat, sumber pembelajaran membangun karakter peduli lingkungan bersumber pada Al-Qur’ān, Ḥadīṡ dan Buku ajar dan strategi yang di gunakan mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan pengendalian. Dalam proses pelaksanaan membangun karakter peduli lingkungan guru menggunakan metode ceramah, pembiasaan dan keteladanan. Lima, program membangun karakter peduli lingkungan di sekolah dapat di katakana berhasil, hal ini dibuktikan dengan tercapainya beberapa indicator capaian perilaku peduli lingkungan. This research is motivated by the low awareness of students towards the environment. Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of Religious Education in Building Environmental Care Characters in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method used on the role of Islamic Religious Education, which is explored through the process of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Then the data is analyzed in three stages, namely reduction, display and data verification. The results of the study found that: one, Islamic Religious Education acts as an institution that accommodates programs to build environmental care characters in schools. Two, the concept of building a caring character for the environment in junior high schools begins with the spiritual development of students and then implemented through PAI subjects which are integrated with the GPBLHS program (Movement for School Environment Cultured Care) or called Adiwiyata. Three, the material presented in building the character of caring for the environment includes PAI subject matter such as oharoh. Fourth, learning resources for building environmental care characters are based on the Qur'an, adīṡ and textbooks and the strategies used include planning, implementation and control. In the implementation process of building the character of caring for the environment, the teacher uses the lecture method, habituation and example. Five, the program to build the character of caring for the environment in schools can be said to be successful, this is evidenced by the achievement of several indicators of achievement of environmental care behavior.
