Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan keadaan di lapangan, permasalahan secara umum yang diangkat pada penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kepedulian sebagian masyarakat terhadap keberlangsungan hidup hewan, contohnya masih marak terjadi kekerasan dan eksploitasi terhadap hewan sekitar dan bahkan hewan langka dan dilindungi sekalipun, dikhawatirkan hal tersebut akan memberi pengaruh buruk bagi kepedulian anak terhadap keberlangsungan hidup hewan. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh masih kurangnya pengetahuan sebagian masyarakat mengenai hewan yang dilindungi, maka dari itu perlu adanya edukasi sejak dini yang diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk materi IPS di Kelas V yang diberi nama “JELAM” yang merupakan akronim dari “Jelajah Alam” yang membahas mengenai ragam fauna di wilayah Indonesia sesuai letak geografisnya dan bagaimana upaya pelestariannya. Pemilihan media pembelajaran tersebut didasarkan dari hasil observasi dan wawancara tidak terstruktur kepada guru kelas di SD Negeri Leuwiliang mengenai pengetahuan siswa terkait ragam hewan yang ada di Indonesia dan ragam hewan dilindungi yang masih belum diketahui dengan baik oleh para siswa. Selain itu, kurangnya pemanfaatan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran menjadi alasan peneliti dalam mengembangkan aplikasi “JELAM” ini. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian Design and Development (D&D) dengan menggunakan prosedur model penelitian ADDIE. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode desriptif kualitatif dengan menafsirkan ketetapan makna dari skor yang didapat. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah melakukan serangkaian uji kelayakan oleh para ahli. Hasil validasi ahli materi mendapatkan skor 88% dengan kategori “Baik”, ahli media sebesar 92% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik” dan ahli bahasa sebesar 87,5% dengan kategori “Baik”. Media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android ini diuji cobakan kepada 29 siswa secara berkelompok. Adapun hasil penilaian guru terkait media yang dikembangkan mendapatkan skor sebesar 96% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”, kemudian hasil rekapitulasi nilai atau respon yang diberikan siswa sebesar 97,9 % dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Oleh Karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif “JELAM” berbasis android pada materi IPS ragam fauna di wilayah Indonesia untuk kelas V SD, sudah layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan beberapa revisi. ----- This research was conducted based on the situation in the field, the general problem raised in this study is the low concern of some people for the survival of animals, for example there is still rampant violence and exploitation of surrounding animals and even rare and protected animals, it is feared that this will have a bad influence on children's concern for the survival of animals. This is due to the lack of knowledge of some people about protected animals, therefore there is a need for early education that is integrated in learning in schools. In this study, an android-based interactive learning media was developed for social studies material in Class V which was named "JELAM" which is an acronym for "Jelajah Alam" which discusses the variety of fauna in the territory of Indonesia according to its geographical location and how efforts to conserve it. The selection of learning media was based on the results of unstructured observations and interviews with class teachers at SD Negeri Leuwiliang regarding students' knowledge related to the variety of animals in Indonesia and the variety of protected animals that are still not well known by the students. In addition, the lack of utilization and use of learning media is the reason for researchers in developing this "JELAM" application. This research is included in the type of Design and Development (D&D) research using the ADDIE research model procedure. Data analysis is carried out using a qualitative descriptive method by interpreting the meaning of the scores obtained. The learning media developed has conducted a series of feasibility tests by experts. The validation results of material experts received a score of 88% with the category "Good", media experts by 92% with the category "Excellent" and linguists by 87,5% with the category "Good". This android application-based learning media was tested on 29 students in groups. The results of the teacher's assessment related to the media developed received a score of 96% with the category "Very Good", then the results of the recapitulation of grades or responses given by students were 97,9% with the category "Very Good". Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media "JELAM" based on android on social studies material for various fauna in the Indonesian region for class V elementary schools, is suitabel for use in the learning process with several revisions.
