Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan kondisi awal perkembangan kreativitas anak usia dini yang masih memerlukan stimulasi dan bimbingan terkait dengan kegiatan aktif dan kreatif. Dalam penelitian sebelumnya, peneliti belum menemukan kegiatan pembelajaran cahaya pada anak usia dini yang dilakukan guna mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini. Oleh karenanya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat desain media pembelajaran ray of light dengan menggunakan cahaya sebagai sumber bahan belajar guna mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini melalui pendekatan Reggio Emilia. Indikator kreativitas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya mengacu pada lima aspek kemampuan kreativitas anak yaitu mencakup aspek kelancaran (fluency), keluwesan (flexibility), orisinalitas (originality), aspek keterperincian atau penguraian (elaboration), dan aspek bekerjasama dalam berkreativitas (teamwork and creativity). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design based Research (DBR) melalui empat tahapan yaitu identifikasi dan analisis masalah, pengembangan berdasarkan teori, melakukan siklus berulang untuk menguji dan memperbaiki desain media, serta refleksi untuk menghasilkan prinsip desain. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan akhir berupa desain media pembelajaran pemanfaatan cahaya ray of light yang sudah diimplementasikan. Media ray of light yang dibuat peneliti adalah meja lampu (table light), meja cermin (mirror table), dan layar kanvas (canvas screen). Media ray of light terinspirasi dari pendekatan Reggio Emilia dan dapat digunakan bagi pendidik guna mencapai tujuan pembelajaran khususnya mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini. Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran Ray of Light, Perkembangan Kreativitas, Pendekatan Reggio Emilia This research is motivated by the initial conditions of early childhood creativity development which still require stimulation and guidance related to active and creative activities. In previous studies, researchers have not found light learning activities in early childhood that are carried out to develop early childhood creativity. Therefore, this study aims to design a ray of light learning media using light as a source of learning material to develop early childhood creativity through the Reggio Emilia approach. The creativity indicators used in this study refer to four aspects of children's creative abilities, which include aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, aspects of detail or elaboration, and aspects of collaboration in creativity (teamwork and creativity). This study uses the Design based Research (DBR) method through four stages, namely problem identification and analysis, theory-based development, repeating cycles to test and improve media designs, and reflection to produce design principles. This research resulted in the final findings in the form of the design of learning media using ray of light that had been implemented. The ray of light media made by the researcher are table light, mirror table, and canvas screen. Ray of light media is inspired by Reggio Emilia's approach and can be used for educators to achieve learning goals, especially developing early childhood creativity.
