Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan adanya siswa berkebutuhan khusus yakni disleksia di sekolah regular yang kurang memahami pembelajaran secara utuh. Disleksia merupakan gangguan belajar dengan basis neurologis dimana penderitanya mengalami kesulitan mengidentifikasi bagaimana kata yang diucapkan harus diubah menjadi bentuk huruf, kalimat, dan sebaliknya baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Belum ada yang memberi perhatian khusus terhadap kemampuan siswa dengan disleksia pada materi matematika bangun datar. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami tingkatan pemahaman siswa dengan disleksia terhadap materi bangun datar kelas IV SD dan mengetahui jenis disleksia apa yang dimiliki siswa kelas IV SD dengan disleksia tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus deskriptif kualitatif dimana instrument penelitian meminta validasi dari guru kelas, kepala sekolah, dan ahli inklusi dalam hal ini adalah ahli wicara. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif instrumen tunggal. Guru dan murid diwawancarai dan diobservasi. Hasil penelitian ini berupa tingkat pemahaman siswa kelas IV SD dengan disleksia terbukti pemahaman dengan metode interpreting (0%), metode classifying (33.33%) metode inferring (100%) dan comparing (33.33%), peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa persentase pemahaman partisipan penderita disleksia kelas IV SD secara keseluruhan pada soal cerita materi bangun datar adalah 33.33% dimana angka tersebut diartikan sebagai hasil yang rendah dalam hal kemampuan membaca dan memahami soal cerita materi bangun datar yang diberikan oleh peneliti berikut dengan jenis disleksia visual yang dialami oleh siswa berdasarkan ciri-ciri yang timbul selama penelitian berlangsung. ------ This research is motivated by the problem of the existence of students with special needs, namely dyslexia in regular schools who do not fully understand learning. Dyslexia is a learning disorder with a neurological basis in which sufferers have difficulty identifying how spoken words should be converted into letters, sentences, and vice versa both orally and in writing. No one has paid special attention to the ability of students with dyslexia in flat-shaped math material. Therefore, this study aims to understand the level of understanding of students with dyslexia on the material of flat shapes for fourth grade elementary students and find out what type of dyslexia the sufferer has. This study uses a qualitative descriptive case study method where the research instrument asks for validation from class teachers, principals, and inclusion experts in this case are speech experts. The approach used is a single qualitative instrument. Teachers and students were interviewed and observed. The results of this study are the level of understanding of fourth grade students with dyslexia proven understanding by interpreting methods (0%), classifying methods (33.33%) inferring methods (100%) and comparing (33.33%), researchers conclude that the percentage of understanding of participants with dyslexia as a whole on story questions about flat shapes is 33.33% where this number is interpreted as a low result in terms of the ability to understand story questions about flat shapes given by the researcher along with the types of visual dyslexia experienced by students based on the characteristics they have. emerged during the research.
