Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan mengenai kekurangan variasi media pembelajaran dalam memfasilitasi mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia dini. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk mengenalkan bentuk geometri yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lapangan. Penelitian ini didasari oleh studi pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti terkait kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia dini. Maka dari itu, peneliti merancang dan menyusun media pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Peneliti menyusun dan merancang sebuah media yaitu sebuah Media Geometri Putar (Getar) untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Mengenal Bentuk Geometri pada Anak Usia Dini. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengembangan dengan desain Education Design Research (EDR) karya McKnney dan Reeves. Prosedur Penelitian EDR terdapat 4 tahapan utama, yaitu, tahap Analisis dan Eksplorasi (Analysis and Exploration), tahap Desain dan Kontruksi (Design and Contruction), tahap Evaluasi dan Refeleksi (Evaluation and Reflection), dan tahap Kelayakan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, angket, dan validasi ahli. Media di uji cobakan sebanyak 2 kali uji coba di TK Plus Manar Al-Ummat di waktu yang berbeda. Secara umum, pengembangan produk Media Geometri Putar (Getar) untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Mengenal Bentuk Geometri pada Anak Usia Dini telah berhasil dikembangkan dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di jenjang Pendidikan anak usia dini Kata Kunci: Media pembelajaran, Geometri, PAUD, Education Design Research ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of variety of learning media in facilitating the recognition of geometric shapes in early childhood. This study aims to develop learning media to introduce geometric shapes according to the needs in the field. This research is based on a preliminary study that has been conducted by researchers regarding the lack of variety of learning media to facilitate the ability to recognize geometric shapes in early childhood. Therefore, researchers designed and compiled learning media according to their needs. Researchers compiled and designed a media, namely a Rotating Geometry Media (Vibrating) to Facilitate the Ability to Recognize Geometric Shapes in Early Childhood. The method used in this research is the development of the Education Design Research (EDR) design by McKnney and Reeves. The EDR Research Procedure has 4 main stages, namely, the Analysis and Exploration stage, the Design and Construction stage, the Evaluation and Reflection stage, and the Feasibility stage. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, documentation studies, questionnaires, and expert validation. The media was tested 2 times in TK Plus Manar Al-Ummat at different times. In general, the development of Geometry Rotating (Vibrating) Media products to facilitate the ability to recognize geometric shapes in early childhood has been successfully developed and is suitable for use in learning at the early childhood education level.
