Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman siswa mengenai keragaman suku dan budaya di Indonesia bahkan daerah tempat tinggalnya serta evaluasi pembelajaran yang digunakan masih dengan cara konvensional yang kurang efisien yaitu hanya menggunakan tes tulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan mengembangkan media evaluasi pembelajaran yang efektif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa game edukasi “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah D&D (Design and Development) dengan model yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Tahapan dalam melakukan penelitian terdiri dari planning, production, evaluation, disingkat PPE. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan angket validasi ahli. Subjek uji coba yang dilakukan secara terbatas sejumlah 10 siswa kelas IV SD Angkasa 1 Lanud Husein Sastranegara. Dalam proses pengembangannya, media melalui tiga kali proses validasi untuk mendapatkan desain akhir dengan satu kali revisi berdasarkan masukan yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas media. Hasil persentase rata-rata validasi ahli, yaitu 92,8% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik”. Hasil uji coba media evaluasi game edukasi “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari hasil pre-test dengan nilai rata-rata 62,5 menjadi 95,5 pada hasil post-test dengan kategori rata-rata sangat baik. Dari hasil tersebut, media game edukasi “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” sangat layak digunakan. Namun demikian rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya bahwa untuk icon “Phone a Friend” dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut, agar ketiga icon pada alat bantu dalam media evaluasi bisa digunakan. The lack of better understanding for many Indonesian students of their cultural inheritance and ethnic diversity, as well as their inefficient and conventional learning practices, namely the use of the written test, fuels the need behind this research. Hence, this research aims to resolve this matter by developing an effective and fun learning evaluation media of the educational for students to improve student learning outcomes. The learning media developed in the form of an educational game “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. This research follows Design and Development model (D&D) by Richard and Klein. In addition, the Planning, Production, and Evaluation stages (PPE) were used to conduct this research. Experiments and questionnaires used for this research are validated by experts. Questionnaires were shown to the Media and Material validator as well as the 10 test subjects from Elementary school Angkasa 1 Lanud Husein Sastranegara. In the development process, the media went through three validation processes to get the final design with one revision based on the input given to improve the quality of the media. The results of the average percentage of expert validation, which is 92,8% in the “Excellent” category. The test results of the educational game evaluation media “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” showed an increase from the pre-test results with an average value of 62,5 to 95,5 in the post-test results with a very good average category. In essence, the result supports public use of the evaluation learning media of the educational game “Who wants to be a Millionaire”. However, the recommendation for further researchers is that the “Phone a Friend” icon can be developed further, so that the three icons on the tools in the evaluation media can be used.
