Abstract

Potensi wilayah yang melimpah diperlukan masyarakat terutama peserta didik untuk dapat mengetahui dan mempelajari potensi-potensi di wilayahnya agar meraka mampu mengembangakan, memanfaatkan dengan baik serta mengelola sumber daya alam yang ramah lingkungan. Melalui proses pembelajaran geografi yang didukung oleh komponen pembelajaran akan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang potensi wilayah agar lebih bijak dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis materi pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah; (2) menganalisis sumber belajar geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah; (3) menganalisis media pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah; (4) menganalisis metode pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah; (5) menganalisis komponen pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampel menggunakan purposive sampling sehingga jumlah responden sebanyak 116 peserta didik dari 5 sekolah di Kabupaten Buton Tengah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh materi pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah masuk dalam kriteria sedang; (2) ada pengaruh sumber belajar geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah dalam kriteria rendah; (3) tidak ada pengaruh media pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah; (4) ada pengaruh komponen metode pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah dalam kriteria rendah; (5) ada pengaruh komponen pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman peserta didik tentang potensi wilayah di SMA Kabupaten Buton Tengah dalam kriteria rendah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti merekomendasikan untuk lebih ditingkatkan lagi penggunaan komponen pembelajaran yang variatif agar mampu meningkatkan pemahaman potensi wilayah peserta didik di sekolah. ABSTRACT The abundant potential of the region is needed by the community, especially students to be able to know and study the potentials in their region so that they are able to develop, utilize and manage natural resources that are environmentally friendly. Through the geography learning process supported by learning components, it will be able to increase students' understanding of the potential of the region so that they are wiser in utilizing natural resources. This study aims to (1) analyze the geography learning material on the understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency; (2) analyzing geography learning resources towards to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency; (3) analyzing the geography learning media to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency; (4) analyzing geography learning methods to understanding the potential of students' areas at SMA Buton Tengah Regency; (5) analyzing the components of geography learning on the understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collection uses observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sample technique uses purposive sampling so that the number of respondents is 116 students from 5 schools in Buton Tengah Regency. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is an influence of geography learning materials to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency which is included in the moderate criteria; (2) there is an influence of geography learning resources to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency in low criteria; (3) there is no influence of geography learning media to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency; (4) there is an influence of the components of the geography learning method to understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency in low criteria; (5) there is an influence of the geography learning component to Understanding the region's potential of the students at SMA Buton Tengah Regency in low criteria. Based on this, the researcher recommends to further improve the use of varied learning components in order to be able to increase the understanding of the potential areas of students in schools.
