Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tindak tutur khususnya tindak ilokusi yang terdapat dalam roman Land in Sicht karya Ilona Hartmann melalui pendekatan pragmatik. Pragmatik ialah salah satu cabang linguistik yang mempelajari makna tuturan yang terikat oleh konteks. Tindak ilokusi ini diteliti berdasarkan jenis, fungsi, serta bentuk dengan menggunakan teori Searle dan Leech. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan memahami jenis, fungsi, serta bentuk dari tindak ilokusi yang digunakan oleh penutur kepada mitra tutur dalam tuturan yang telah disampaikan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tindakan yang dilakukan oleh seorang penutur ketika sedang menyampaikan sebuah tuturan kepada mitra tutur, sehingga mitra tutur perlu memahami maksud dari tuturan yang telah disampaikan dengan dibantu oleh konteks yang melingkupinya. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat empat jenis tindak ilokusi yang ditemukan dalam roman ini yaitu jenis tindak ilokusi asertif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif. Jenis yang paling umum ditemukan adalah jenis tindak ilokusi asertif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terdapat tiga fungsi tindak ilokusi yang ditemukan yaitu fungsi kompetitif, menyenangkan, dan bekerja sama. Mayoritas datanya masuk ke dalam fungsi menyenangkan. Lalu bentuk tindak ilokusi yang ditemukan dalam roman ini ada bentuk tindak ilokusi langsung dan tidak langsung dengan mayoritas tuturannya masuk ke dalam bentuk tindak ilokusi langsung. This study examines speech acts, especially illocutionary acts contained in the roman Land in Sicht by Ilona Hartmann through a pragmatic approach. Pragmatic is a branch of linguistic that studies the meaning of speeches that are bound by context. This illocutionary act was investigated by types, functions, and forms using the theory of Searle and Leech. The purposes of this study are to find out and understand the types, functions, and forms of illocutionary acts used by speakers to listeners in the speech that has been delivered. This research focuses on the actions taken by speakers when delivering a speech to listeners, so that the listeners need to understand the meanings of the speech that has been conveyed with the help of the surrounding context. This study was designed using qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis. The results of the study prove that there are four types of illocutionary acts found in this roman, namely assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive illocutionary acts. The most common types found are the types of assertive illocutionary acts. Based on the results of the analysis, there are three functions of illocutionary acts found, namely competitive, convivial, and collaborative functions. The majority of these data goes into convivial functions. Then the forms of illocutionary acts found in this roman are direct and indirect illocutionary acts, with the majority of the utterances in the form of direct illocutionary acts.
