Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak usia dini anak kelompok A2 di TK Putra II Serang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara langsung, observasi serta dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini data yang diperoleh yaitu data yang bersifat narasi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia 4-5 tahun pada anak kelompok A2 di TK Putra II sangat berperan penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan anak karena orang tua merupakan pendidik pertama dan utama bagi anak dalam proses perkembangan anaknya. Hasil belajar anak kelompok A2 terkait kemampuan membaca permulaan hampir semua anak mengalami peningkatan yaitu 6 anak berkembang sangat baik, 4 anak berkembang sesuai harapan dan 2 anak mulai berkembang meskipun masih ada yang belum sesuai dengan harapan atau keinginan tetapi orang tua tetap optimis dalam perkembangan anak dan terus memberikan motivasi atau dukungan. Peran orang tua menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam mengembangkan membaca permulaan anak, keberhasilan anak-anak termasuk pendidikannya sangat dipengaruhi oleh sejauh mana orang tua mampu memberikan sumbangsih bagi proses pendidikan anak. This research to determine the role of parents in improving early reading skills in early childhood children in group A2 in TK Putra II Serang. The research method used is qualitative methods and data collection techniques in the form of direct interviews, observation and documentation. In this study, the data obtained were descriptive narrative data. The results of this study showed that the role of parents in improving the early reading skills of children aged 4-5 years in group A2 in Putra II Kindergarten plays an important role in determining the success of children's education because parents are the first and main educators for children in the process of their child's development. The learning outcomes of children in group A2 related to early reading skills, almost all children experienced an increase, namely 6 children developed very well, 4 children developed as expected and 2 children began to develop even though there were still things that were not as expected or desired, but parents remained optimistic about their children's development. and continue to provide motivation or support. The role of parents is very important in developing children's early reading, the success of children including their education is greatly influenced by the extent to which parents are able to contribute to the child's education process.
