Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dan penanaman nilai karakter toleransi kepada peserta didik. Penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan saat ini sangat dibutuhkan sebagai upaya dalam mengatasi kejenuhan peserta didik terhadap metode konvensional yang dilakukan oleh guru selama proses pembelajaran, terutama pada pembelajaran IPS di SD kelas IV. Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut, peneliti bermaksud untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran dalam bentuk permainan yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik kelas IV SD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk permainan monopoli edukatif “MERKAYASA” untuk menanamkan karakter toleransi dalam pembelajaran IPS di SD Kelas IV. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian berupa model ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahapan (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, Evaluasi). Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah validator ahli materi, validator ahli media, guru dan tujuh orang peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Kenanga Kecamatan Sumber. Hasil uji kelayakan dari validator ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukkan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Kemudian, hasil skor yang diperoleh dari angket respon guru dan peserta didik termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media permainan monopoli edukatif “MERKAYASA” sangat layak digunakan dalam membantu proses pembelajaran khususnya untuk menanamkan karakter toleransi pada peserta didik kelas IV SD. ------ This research is motivated by the lack of interesting and fun learning media in carrying out the learning process and inculcating the value of the character of tolerance to students. The use of fun learning media is currently needed as an effort to overcome the saturation of students with conventional methods carried out by teachers during the learning process, especially in social studies learning in elementary grade IV. Based on this statement, the researcher intends to design and develop a learning media in the form of games that are adapted to the characteristics of fourth grade elementary school students. The purpose of this research is to produce learning media in the form of the educational monopoly game "MERKAYASA" to instill the character of tolerance in social studies learning in elementary grade IV. The method used in this research is the Design and Development (D&D) method using research procedures in the form of the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The participants involved in this study were material expert validators, media expert validators, teachers and seven fourth grade students at SDN 3 Kenanga Sumber District. The results of the feasibility test from material expert validators and media experts show the "Very Eligible" category. Then, the score results obtained from the teacher and student response questionnaires are included in the "Very Eligible" category. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the educational monopoly game media "MERKAYASA" is very suitable to be used in helping the learning process, especially to instill the character of tolerance in fourth grade elementary school students.
