Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar yang rendah, ini terbukti dari hasil observasi serta tes awal siswa kurang memahami atau kesulitan dalam menjawab pertanyaan walaupun telah membaca wacana sampai tuntas, menarik kesimpulan dari wacana, ataupun indikator-indikator yang lainnya yang merujuk pada indikator kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Hal ini mendorong peneliti melakukan penelitian di sekolah dan kelas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dan peningkatan Hasil Belajar membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN 1 Kemantren melalui penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Course Review Horay (CRH). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari planning, acting, observing, dan reflecting. Intrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen tes berupa tes uraian dan nontes berupa observasi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dengan subyek penelitian yaitu kelas V SDN 1 Kemantren Kecamatan Sumber Kabupaten Cirebon yang berjumlah 25 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar membaca pemhaman disetiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan analisis lembar observasi guru dan siswa menunjukkan adanya aktivitas yang positif dan juga meningkat disetiap siklusnya. Selain itu, ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai target yang ditentukan terjadi pada siklus II yaitu pencapaian lebih dari 85%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Course Review Horay (CRH) dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar membaca pemahaman dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V SDN 1 Kemantren. ----- This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension ability of elementary school students, this is evident from the of the observation and preliminary test that students lack understanding or difficulty in using answering questions even though the student already finished reading the text, drawing conclusions from the text or other indicators that refer to indicator of ability reading comprehension. This encourages researchers to conduct research in these schools and classes. This study aims to determine the activity of students and improvement of the ability reading comprehension in class V at SDN 1 Kemantren through the application of model Cooperative Learning type Course Review Horay (CRH). The method used in this research is the Research Action Class (CAR) using Kemmis and McTaggart research design which consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The instrument used in this study is to test instruments in the form of a description test and nontest in the form of observation.This research consists of two cycles with the subject of research int class V at SDN 1 Kemantren in Cirebon, which amounted to 25 people. The results showed an increase in activity and reading comprehension ability in each cycle. Based on the analysis of teacher and students observation sheets, there is a positive activity and also increases every cycle. In addition, student learning completeness reaches the specified target occurs in cycle II, which is more than 85% achievement. Therefore, it can be concluded that through the application of Cooperative Learning model type Course Review Horay (CRH) can improve result of Reading Comprehension and learning activity of class V on SDN 1 Kemantren.
