Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa dan siswa Indonesia hanya mampu mengerjakan soal literasi matematis level satu dan level dua, dari enam tingkatan kemampuan literasi matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL), dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dari model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD sebanyak 20 orang dari kelas eksperimen dan 21 orang dari kelas kontrol. Siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan model PBL dan kelas kontrol yang tidak diberi perlakuan dengan model PBL tetapi mendapat perlakuan dengan model konvensional. Instrumen tes dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes berbentuk uraian yang mengukur kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu dilihat dari skor rata-rata pretest siswa sebelum mendapat pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 72.75. Kemudian terdapat peningkatan skor postest siswa setelah mendapat perlakuan pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning menjadi 81.75. Dan perhitungan uji regresi terlihat bahwa data pretest dan posttest memperoleh nilai Fhitung > Ftabel maka H0 ditolak atau 99,560 > 4,09. Dari koefisian determinasi pada hasil analisis regresi kelas eksperimen, besar pengaruh model yang digunakan sebesar 84,7%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan setelah mendapat perlakuan dengan model problem based learning, dan terdapat pengaruh besar pada model PBL terhadap kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa di kelas eksperimen. ----- The background of this research is the low numeracy literacy ability of students and Indonesian students are only able to work on level one and level two mathematical literacy problems, out of six levels of mathematical literacy ability. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' numeracy literacy skills using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, and to determine how the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the numeracy literacy abilities of elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The sample in this study was 20 elementary school students from the experimental class and 21 people from the control class. Students in the experimental class who were treated with the PBL model and the control class who were not treated with the PBL model but were treated with the conventional model. The test instrument in this study is a test in the form of a description that measures the numeracy literacy ability of the students studied. The results of this study are seen from the average pretest score of students before receiving learning in the experimental class of 72.75. Then there is an increase in the posttest score of students after receiving learning treatment using a problem based learning model to 81.75. And the calculation of the regression test shows that the pretest and posttest data obtain a value of Fcount > Ftable, then H0 is rejected or 99.560 > 4.09. From the coefficient of determination on the results of the experimental class regression analysis, the influence of the model used is 84.7%. It can be concluded that the numeracy literacy ability of students in the experimental class has increased after receiving treatment with the problem based learning model, and there is a large influence on the PBL model on the numeracy literacy ability of students in the experimental class.
