Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan ialah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan jumlah siswa 12 orang di kelas 5 salah satu sekolah dasar di Subang. Penelitian mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian reward dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus, dimana dua pertemuan pada setiap siklus. Angket, pedoman wawancara, dokumentasi, dan lembar observasi adalah metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan. Dengan adanya pemberian reward membuat siswa menjadi lebih termotivasi dalam pembelajaran, aktif, percaya diri, dan berani. Dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya hasil angket sebelum dan setelah siklus I sebesar 9,48%. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada siklus II. Hasil angket meningkat sebesar 15,83% dimana sebelum siklus II hasil angket memiliki persentase sebesar 60,73% dan setelah siklus II hasil angket menjadi 76,56%. Hal tersebut dapat diartikan bahwa pengaruh pemberian reward dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. ----- The research is a classroom action research with 12 students in grade 5 of an elementary school in Subang. The research has a goal to increase learning motivation with the effect of giving rewards. The research was conducted in two cycles, where two meetings in each cycle. Questionnaires, interview guidelines, documentation, and observation sheets are the data collection methods used. Giving rewards makes students more motivated in learning, active, confident, and brave. It can be seen from the increase in the results of the questionnaire before and after the first cycle of 9.48%. The increase also occurred in cycle II. The results of the questionnaire increased by 15.83% where before the second cycle the results of the questionnaire had a percentage of 60.73% and after the second cycle the results of the questionnaire became 76.56%. It can be interpreted that giving rewards can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics.
