Abstract
Orang tua merupakan jalan utama bagi anak untuk menemukan solusi dalam menyelesaikan masalahnya, terutama dalam belajar. Namun, saat ini masih ditemukan fakta bahwa hanya sedikit sekolah yang siswanya beruntung memiliki orang tua yang secara baik memberikan perhatian terhadap perkembangan mereka melalui jalinan komunikasi. Sebagian besar orang tua merasa cukup menyerahkan pendidikan anak kepada sekolah. Hal tersebut dapat menjadi salah satu penyebab siswa memiliki indeks prestasi yang berbeda-beda salah satunya pada siswa kelas V SDN Purwamekar. Maka, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) bagaimana intensitas komunikasi antara orang tua dengan siswa; 2) bagaimana hasil belajar siswa; 3) bagaimana pengaruh intensitas komunikasi orang tua terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Purwamekar. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan metode survei yaitu memberikan angket berisi 25 pernyataan valid yang kemudian diisi oleh siswa. Data diolah secara kuantitatif dengan acuan skala likert. Dari data yang diolah, diperoleh hasil bahwa intensitas komunikasi orang tua dengan siswa kelas V SDN Purwamekar termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan presentase 71,19%, hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Purwamekar termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan presentase 74,58%, pengaruh intensitas komunikasi orang tua dan hasil belajar siswa menunjukan presentase 86,3%. ----- Parents are the main way for children to find solutions in solving problems, especially in learning. However, nowadays it is still found that there are only a few schools whose students are lucky to have parents who give good attention to their development through communication. Most parents feel that it is enough to leave their children's education to schools. This can be one of the causes of students having different achievement indexes, one of which is the fifth grade students at SDN Purwamekar. So, the researchers conducted research with the aim of knowing: 1) how the intensity of communication between parents and students; 2) how are student learning outcomes; 3) how does the intensity of parental communication affect student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN Purwamekar. Data collection was carried out using a survey method, namely giving a questionnaire containing 25 valid statements which were then filled out by students. The data is processed quantitatively with a Likert scale reference. From the processed data, it was found that the intensity of parental communication with fifth grade students at SDN Purwamekar was included in the medium category with a percentage of 71.19%, the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Purwamekar were included in the medium category with a percentage of 74.58%, the influence of communication intensity parents and student learning outcomes showed a percentage of 86.3%.
