Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun buku elektronik berbasis model visual pada materi termodinamika BEb MoViT. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa saat memahami materi termodinamika yang bersifat abstrak, banyak rumus dan dinamis sehingga dibutuhkan suatu bahan ajar yang dapat menyajikan model-model dalam bentuk gambar, animasi dan simulasi virtual terkait konsep dan fenomena termodinamika agar lebih tergambarkan secara visual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R & D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan buku elektronik dilakukan validasi terkait konten, media dan materi oleh 3 orang ahli dengan masing-masing terdiri dari 2 dosen dan 1 guru mata pelajaran fisika. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterbacaan dan respon siswa terhadap buku elektronik dilakukan uji coba terbatas kepada 30 siswa sebagai pengguna awal buku elektronik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa buku elektronik memperoleh nilai kelayakan konten sebesar 83,8% dan media sebesar 89,2% yang terkualifikasi sangat layak. Selain itu tidak ditemukan adanya miskonsepsi materi pada buku elektronik. Hasil tingkat keterbacaan buku elektronik yaitu sebesar 82,1% apabila dibandingkan dengan kriteria keterbacaan menurut Rankin & Culhane nilai tersebut termasuk kategori mandiri yang artinya siswa dapat menggunakan buku elektronik tanpa selalu bergantung pada guru. Selain itu secara keseluruhan siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap buku elektronik dan memberi tanggapan bahwa buku elektronik memiliki tampilan yang menarik serta memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi termodinamika. This research aims to compile a model-based physics electronic book on thermodynamics topics (BEb MoViT). The background of this research is the difficulty of students to understand thermodynamics topics which is abstract, has many formulas and is dynamic, so a teaching or learning materials is needed that can present models in the form of images, animations and virtual simulations related to thermodynamic concepts and phenomena to be more visually depicted. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation stages. To determine the feasibility level of electronic books, validation related to content, media, and materials was carried out by 3 experts, each consisting of 2 lecturers and 1 physics teacher. Meanwhile, to determine the level of readability and student response to electronic book, a limited trial was conducted to 30 students as early users of electronic book. The results of the study show that electronic books get a content worthiness value of 83.8% and media of 89.2% which are qualified very feasible. In addition, there were no misconceptions about the material in the electronic book. The result of the readability level of electronic books is 82.1% when compared to the readability criteria according to Rankin & Culhane, the value is included in the independent category, which means that students can use electronic books without always depending on the teacher. In addition, overall students gave a positive response to electronic books and responded that electronic books have an attractive appearance and make it easier for students to understand thermodynamic material.
