Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PODE terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa SD, khususnya di kelas IV pada materi IPA “Sumber Energi Alternatif”. Penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan desain intact-group comparison. Sampel yang digunakan seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Mekarsari yang ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelompok A sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok B sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes uraian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen (45,6) lebih tinggi daripada nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol (38,8). Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t dengan dk = 24 dan α = 0,05, diperoleh Thitung > Ttabel (4,383 > 2,063) maka Ho ditolak, dapat disimpulkan model PODE berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Sedangkan hasil analisis uji n-gain diperoleh hasil 0,31 yang berada pada taraf sedang yaitu (0,7 > G ≥ 0,3). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disarankan kepada guru agar menerapkan model PODE sebagai model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. ----- This study aims to determine the effect of the PODE model on high-level thinking skills of elementary school students, especially in grade IV on the science material "Alternative Energy Sources". This study is a pre-experimental study with an intact-group comparison design. The samples in this study were all fourth grade students of SDN 1 Mekarsari which were determined by random sampling technique, so that group A was obtained as many as 25 students as the experimental group and group B as many as 25 students as the control group. Data on higher order thinking skills were collected using a test technique in the form of a description test. The results of this study showed the average value of the experimental group (45.6) was higher than the average value of the control group (38.8). Based on the results of the t-test analysis with dk = 24 and = 0.05, obtained Tcount > Ttable (4.383 > 2.063) then HO is rejected, it can be concluded that the PODE model affects students' higher order thinking skills. While the results of the n-gain test analysis the result is 0.31 which is at the moderate level (0.7 > G 0.3). Based on these results, it can be suggested to teachers to apply the PODE model as a learning model to improve students' higher order thinking skills.
