Abstract

Literasi numerasi pada siswa sekolah dasar masih rendah menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini. Rendahnya literasi numerasi disebabkan oleh kurangnya daya tarik dan kurang aktifnya siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, belum terbiasa menyelesaikan soal-soal pemecahan literasi dan matematika yang membutuhkan penalaran, beripikir kritis, reflektif, dan proses. Literasi numerasi merupakan kemampuan dalam memahami, mengeksplorasi serta menghubungkan dan menalar secara logis guna menghadapi permasalahan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Karang Satria 04 pada kelas V. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan literasi numerasi pada siswa SD dan pengaruh pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap literasi numerasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara luring. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam jenis kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V, dengan jumlah siswa pada tiap kelompok adalah 20 siswa. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan tes dan non tes. Teknik tes yaitu soal berupa uraian, sedangkan non tes menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu: 1) Peningkatan literasi numerasi pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas konvensional berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan rata-rata dengan pertimbangan skor n-gain dan rata-ratanya. Nilai rata-rata skor n-gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,57 dengan interpretasi sedang sedangkan kelas konvensional sebesar 0,35 dengan interpretasi sedang; 2) Terdapat pengaruh pendekatan realistic mathematics education (RME) terhadap literasi numerasi sebesar 21% dengan interpretasi rendah. ----- Numerical literacy in elementary school students is still low as the background in this study. The low numeracy literacy is caused by the lack of attractiveness and inactivity of students in the learning process, not yet accustomed to solving literacy and mathematical solving problems that require reasoning, critical thinking, reflective, and process. Numerical literacy is the ability to understand, explore and connect and reason logically to deal with mathematical problems in everyday life. This research was conducted at SDN Karang Satria 04 in class V. This study aims to determine the increase in numeracy literacy in elementary school students and the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on numeracy literacy. This research was conducted offline. This research is a quasi-experimental type with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was class V, with the number of students in each group was 20 students. Data collection techniques using tests and non-tests. The test technique is a question in the form of a description, while the non-test uses interviews and documentation. The results of the study are: 1) The increase in numeracy literacy in the experimental class is better than the conventional class based on the results of the average difference test taking into account the n-gain score and the average. The average value of the n-gain score in the experimental class is 0.57 with a moderate interpretation while the conventional class is 0.35 with a moderate interpretation; 2) There is an effect of the realistic mathematics education (RME) approach on numeracy literacy by 21% with a low interpretation.
