Abstract
Science is one of the subjects in elementary school. According to the results of the study reviewed by researchers, there are many students who experience obstacles in learning science. The purpose of the study is to find out the causes and factors of difficulty that affect students in learning science. . The research design is a case study. The subjects in this study were grade IV students of SDN 1 Nagrikidul, Purwakarta Regency, totaling students, 1 teacher and parents. The techniques used by researchers in this study were interviews, and documentation. The interview technique is the main data collection from this study and the last technique of documenting the results in the form of images that will be obtained during the research conducting research in the classroom. Researchers use triangulation so that the data can be considered valid. The results of this study show that students' learning difficulties in science learning lack student interest in science learning so that students experience difficulties in learning so that two factors arise, namely external and internal factors. The efforts made are to familiarize students with diligent study both at home and at school with the guidance of teachers and parents.
