Abstract
Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi daur hidup hewan. Pembelajaran menggunakan media video explainer dipilih sebagai alternatif untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut. Alternatif pemecahan masalah ini dipilih karena pemahaman konsep dan motivasi siswa di sekolah sasaran masih tergolong rendah, sementara sarana dan prasarana di sekolah tersebut memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video explainer terhadap pemahaman konsep dan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Tulung Sari yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes berupa soal pemahaman konsep, serta non tes berupa angket motivasi dan lembar observasi. Pembelajaran menggunakan video explainer pada materi daur hidup hewan di kelas IV SDN Tulung Sari terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Hal ini tampak dari kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa yang semakin meningkat. Guru mencapai skor rata-rata 89,79% dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas, sementara siswa mencapai skor rata-rata 85,7P6% dalam mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep dan motivasi siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan video explainer mengalami peningkatan. Video explainer berpengaruh 25% terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dan berpengaruh 4,3% terhadap peningkatan motivasi siswa. Hal ini berarti bahwa video explainer memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep dan motivasi siswa. This research is based on the low understanding of concepts and learning motivation of IV grade students in learning science on animal life cycle material. Learning using explainer video media was chosen as an alternative to solve these problems. This alternative problem solving was chosen because the understanding of the concept and motivation of students in the target school was still relatively low, while the facilities and infrastructure at the school were adequate. This study aims to determine the effect of explainer videos on students conceptual understanding and motivation. This study uses an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The subjects of this study were the IV grade students of SD Negeri Tulung Sari, totaling 30 students. The instrument used is a test in the form of a question of understanding the concept, as well as a non-test in the form of a motivation questionnaire and an observation sheet. Learning using explainer videos on animal life cycle materials in grade IV SDN Tulung Sari was carried out very well. This can be seen from the performance of teachers and student activities that are increasing. Teachers achieved an average score of 89.79% in planning and implementing classroom learning, while students achieved an average score of 85.76% in participating in classroom learning. The results showed that students understanding of concepts and motivation after learning using explainer videos increased. Explainer videos have a 25% effect on increasing students conceptual understanding and 4,3% have an effect on increasing students motivation. This means that explainer videos have a positive influence on understanding concepts and students motivation.
