Abstract

Virus COVID-19 yang masih berkelanjutan sejak tahun 2020 terus bermutasi sampai tahun 2022 dengan varian baru bernama omicron. Meskipun tidak separah varian delta, tetapi memiliki tingkat penularan yang lebih tinggi sehingga menjadi ancaman bagi kesehatan masyarakat khususnya anak usia dini. Cara yang paling efektif dalam upaya pencegahan penularan COVID-19 adalah menerapkan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi orang tua dalam pembiasaan PHBS anak pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus terhadap tiga partisipan penelitian, yaitu tiga orang ibu yang memiliki anak berusia 6 tahun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara. Data yang diperoleh, dianalisis menggunakan teknik grounded theory. Temuan penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan strategi orang tua dalam pembiasaan PHBS berdasarkan tingkat sosial ekonomi. Orang tua dengan tingkat sosial ekonomi tinggi memiliki strategi yang lebih menekankan pada teknologi, seperti game online, gadget, dan video animasi. Namun tidak memiliki waktu untuk membimbing anak secara langsung. Orang tua dengan tingkat sosial ekonomi rendah melalui pembiasaan dan pendampingan langsung mengalami berbagai kendala dalam pemahaman, ekonomi dan lingkungan. Orang tua diharapkan dapat memiliki strategi yang menarik serta beragam solusi untuk mengatasi kendala dalam membiasakan PHBS pada anak usia dini. The COVID-19 virus, which has been ongoing since 2020, continues to mutate until 2022 with a new variant called omicron. Although it is not as severe as the delta variant, it has a higher transmission rate so that it poses a threat to public health, especially early childhood. The most effective way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to implement a Clean and Healthy Behaviour (PHBS). The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of parents in habituation of PHBS in children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design of three research participants, namely three mothers who have children aged 6 years. Data collection was done by interview technique. The data obtained were analyzed using grounded theory analiysis. The research findings obtained indicate that there are differences in parental strategies in PHBS habituation based on socioeconomic levels. Parents with high socioeconomic levels have strategies that place more emphasis on technology, such as online games, gadgets, and animated videos. However, they do not have the time to directly guide children. Parents with low socioeconomic levels through habituation and direct mentoring experience various obstacles in understanding, the economy and the environment. Parents are expected to have interesting strategies and various solutions to overcome obstacles in familiarizing PHBS in early childhood
