Abstract

Pembelajaran di masa pandemi COVID19 melalui pembelajaran online dan belajar dari rumah menghadirkan beberapa tantangan dan risiko learning loss yang berdampak jangka panjang pada anak. Capaian perkembangan anak mengalami penurunan yang massif, waktu belajar online yang tidak cukup dan iklim belajar yang tidak kondusif. Kepala TK memiliki peran dalam upaya mitigasi learning loss pada siswanya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus terhadap partisipan penelitian, yaitu tiga orang kepala sekolah dengan latar belakang kondisi geografis yang berbeda-beda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara. Data yang diperoleh, dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Temuan penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan berbagai upaya pencegahan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi learning loss yaitu mengadakan pelatihan mengajar online untuk guru, pendistribusian bantuan alat kesehatan dan media yang akan dipelajari ketika pembelajaran daring. Sekolah melaksanakan pembelajaran luring dengan protokol kesehatan agar learning loss bisa segera diatasi. Pelatihan bagi orang tua tentang cara memberikan pendampingan intensif di rumah secara daring juga dilakukan. Home visit dilakukan untuk memberikan pembelajaran langsung pada anak dan rapat bulanan untuk mengkomunikasikan setiap permasalahan yang dihadapi orang tua dalam menggantikan tugas guru ketika tidak bisa memberikan stimulasi langsung pada anak. Learning during the COVID19 pandemic through online learning and learning from home presents several challenges and risks of learning loss that have a long-term impact on children. Children's developmental achievements have experienced a massive decline, insufficient online learning time and an unfavorable learning climate. Kindergarten principals have a obligation to mitigate learning loss in their students. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design of research participants, namely three principals with different geographical backgrounds. Data collection was done by interview technique. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis. The research findings obtained show various prevention efforts made by school principals in overcoming learning loss, namely conducting online training for teachers, distributing medical aid aids and media that will be studied in learning. Schools carry out learning with health protocols so that lost learning can be addressed immediately. Training for parents on how to provide intensive assistance at home was also conducted. Home visits are carried out to provide direct learning to children and monthly meetings to communicate any problems faced by parents in determining the teacher's duties when they cannot provide direct stimulation to children.
