Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komuniksi matematis siswa, dikarenakan siswa belum terfasilitasi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Oleh karena itu, guru harus memilih model pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa salah satunya yaitu model SAVI termodifikasi. Pembelajaran model SAVI termodifikasi terdiri dari enam tahapan yaitu pengkondisian siswa, somatis, audio, visual, intelektual, dan membuat catatan kreatif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pembelajaran model SAVI termodifikasi, serta perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model SAVI termodifikasi dan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini berbentuk kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Sukahaji 01 Kecamatan Cileunyi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data tes komunikasi matematis, diperoleh rata-rata skor pretest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 18,17 setelah mendapat perlakuan diperoleh rata-rata skor posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 80,79 hasil analisis uji dependent sampel t-tes menunjukan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sesudah mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan model SAVI termodifikasi lebih baik di bandingkan sebelum diberikan perlakuan. Selain itu hasil analisis uji independent sample t-tes menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model SAVI lebih baik dari siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Model SAVI termodifikasi dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. ------ This research is motivated by the low ability of student’s mathematical communication, that is because students have not been facilitated to develop their mathematical communication ability, therefore, teacher should choose a learning model that can facilitate student’s mathematical communication skills such as modified SAVI models,the modified SAVI model consist of six stages: student conditioning, somatic, audio, visual, intellectual, and creative notes, The purpose of this research is to know the difference of students’ mathematical communication ability before and after getting learning modified SAVI model, and the difference of mathematical communication ability of student who get learning by using modified SAVI model and students who get conventional learning, This research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design, The study was conducted at SDN Sukahaji 01, Cileunyi District, Based on the data proccesing of mathematical communication test, obtained at averege pretest scores experimental group of 18.17 after received treartment obtained the averege posttest scores experimental group 80.79 other than that, the test results dependent test sample t-test showed student’s mathematical communication skills After obtaining learning using a modified SAVI model better than before treatment was given. In addition, the result of independent test sample test -ttest shows that the mathematical communication ability of student who get learning SAVI modified model is better than student who get conventional learning. Modified SAVI model can be used as an alternative learning model that can be used in an effort to improve student’s mathematical communication ability.
