Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil tingkat literasi keberlanjutan, profil implementasi pembelajaran, dan perbedaan peningkatan literasi keberlanjutan siswa SMP pada pembelajaran kontekstual IPA berbasis ESD ditinjau dari aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian pretes-postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah 269 orang untuk melihat profil literasi keberlanjutan dari 10 sekolah yang ada di Sulawesi Selatan. Untuk implementasi pembelajaran di SMPN 3 Watampone tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 64 orang yang berasal dari dua kelas yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes literasi keberlanjutan berbentuk pilihan ganda yang disusun berdasarkan indikator literasi keberlanjutan menggunakan framework dari Dcamps. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat literasi siswa dari aspek ekonomi berada pada kategori rendah dengan presentase sebesar 42,9%, aspek sosial berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase sebesar 49,1%, aspek lingkungan berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase sebesar 53,2%. Peningkatan literasi berkelanjutan antara siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual IPA berbasis ESD lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan peningkatan literasi berkelanjutan antara siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kontekstual IPA. Profile of Sustainability Literacy of Junior High School Students in ESD-Based Science Contextual Learning. This study aims to determine the profile of the level of sustainability literacy, the profile of learning implementation, and the differences in the improvement of sustainability literacy of junior high school students in ESD-based science contextual learning in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspects. The research method used was descriptive and quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was 269 people to see the sustainability literacy profile of 10 schools in South Sulawesi. For the implementation of learning at SMPN 3 Watampone for the academic year 2020/2021 with a research sample of 64 people from two classes selected through a sampling technique. The instrument used is a multiple-choice sustainability literacy test which is based on sustainability literacy indicators using the Dcamps framework. The results showed that the literacy level of students from the economic aspect was in the low category with a percentage of 42.9%, the social aspect was in the moderate category with a percentage of 49.1%, the environmental aspect was in the medium category with a percentage of 53.2%. The continuous increase in literacy among students who use ESD-based science contextual learning is higher than the continuous increase in literacy among students who use science contextual learning.
