Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa menuangkan ide dalam proses menulis teks eksposisi. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan tersebut adalah rendahnya kosakata siswa. Hal ini berpengaruh pada kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi yang tergolong rendah. Selain itu, penggunaan model pembelajaran juga mempengaruhi keberhasilan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan fakta lapangan, model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru masih mencerminkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan solusi dari permasalahan dan kesulitan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi dengan mengembangkan model brainwriting berbantuan media powtoon dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Model brainwriting digunakan untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam mengungkapkan ide dengan powtoon sebagai media untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D) ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate). Pada tahap analyze dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, penyebaran angket, dan tes menulis untuk mendapatkan potret menulis teks eksposisi di sekolah. Tahap design berdasarkan teori yang relevan dan membuat tata letak model. Tahap development mengembangkan model sesuai tata letak dan melakukan 3 validasi oleh ahli yaitu validasi desain model memperoleh hasil 94% dengan kategori sangat baik, media pembelajaran memperoleh hasil 94% kategori sangat baik, dan evaluasi memperoleh hasil 95% kategori sangat baik. Implementasi dilakukan setelah revisi sesuai validasi ahli. Implementasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model yang telah dikembangkan. Hasil perhitungan tes menulis teks eksposisi siswa memperoleh nilai sebesar 3444 dengan rata-rata 86,1 kategori sangat baik yang menunjukkan bahwa model brainwriting berbantuan media powtoon efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket respon pengguna yaitu guru dan siswa. This research was motivated by the difficulty of students expressing ideas in the process of writing exposition texts. One of the factors that affect the difficulty is the low vocabulary of students. This affects the ability to write exposition texts which are relatively low. In addition, the use of learning models also affects the success of learning. Field facts, the learning model used by the teacher still reflects the conventional learning model. This research was conducted to provide solutions to problems and difficulties in learning to write expository texts by developing a brainwriting model assisted by powtoon media in learning to write exposition texts. The brainwriting model used to overcome students' difficulties in expressing ideas with powtoon as a medium to increase student motivation. The method used in this research is ADDIE research development (R&D) (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). At the analysis stage, interviews were carried out, questionnaires were distributed, and a writing test was carried out to obtain a portrait of writing exposition texts at school. The design stage is based on the relevant theory and makes a model layout. The development stage develops the model according to the layout and performs 3 validations by experts, namely the validation of the model design obtaining 94% results in the very good category, learning media with 94% results in the very good category, and evaluation of the 95% results in the very good category. Implementation is carried out after revision according to expert validation. Implementation is done to determine the effectiveness of the model that has been developed. The results of the calculation of the student's exposition text writing test got a score of 3444 with an average of 86.1 very good category which indicates that the brainwriting model assisted by powtoon media is effective in improving the ability to write expository text. The evaluation stage is carried out by distributing user response questionnaires, namely teachers and students.
