Abstract

Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dengan mengembangkan suatu media buku bacaan bergambar yang ditujukan untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Dengan melalui bermacam-macam tahapan, media buku bacaan bergambar ini dikembangkan melalui metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan model Analyze Design Development Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) yang di dalamnya mencakup 5 tahapan, yaitu: (1) Analyze, dalam kegiatan analisis, dimulai dengan mengobservasi kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Mendapatkan permasalahan terkait rendahnya keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar dan menemukan ketidaktersediaannya media pembelajaran yang dikhususkan untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan. Melakukan studi literatur terkait media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran membaca. Media buku bacaan bergambar dapat digunakan sebagai sarana dalam melatih dan belajar keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar. (2) Desain, tahap ini adalah mengembangkan media buku bacaan bergambar untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD, sehingga pada mulai dari pembuatan rancangan media buku bacaan bergambar. Mengembangkan rancangan media buku bacaan bergambar sampai membuat desain media buku bacaan bergambar. (3) Development, membuat bahan-bahan menjadi satu. Dengan hasil akhir memproduksi desain media buku bacaan bergambar ke dalam bentuk buku, kemudian dilakukan validasi kepada expert judgement (4) Implementation, Produk buku bacaan bergambar diujicoba kepada siswa melalui wawancara. (5)Evaluate validasi dan uji coba dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media buku bacaan bergambar. Presentase rata-rata hasil validasi, yaitu 98,82% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan tanggapan positif siswa terhadap media buku bacaan bergambar. Media buku bacaan bergambar layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop an illustrated reading book media which is intended for early reading learning for first grade elementary school. By going through various stages, this illustrated reading book media was developed through the Design and Development (D&D) method with the Analyze Design Development Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model which includes 5 stages, namely: (1) Analyze, in analysis activities, starting with observing learning activities in class. Finding problems related to the low reading skills of first grade elementary school students and finding out the unavailability of learning media specifically for early reading learning. Conducting literature studies related to learning media that can be used for learning to read. illustrated reading book media can be used as a means to train and learn reading skills for the first graders of elementary school. (2) Design, this stage is to develop illustrated reading book media for early reading learning for first grade elementary school students, so that at the start of making picture reading media designs. Develop an illustrated reading book media design to create a picture reading book media design. (3) Development, making materials into one. With the final result of producing the media design of illustrated reading books in the form of a book, then validation is carried out on expert judgment (4) Implementation, the product of illustrated reading books is tested on students through interviews. (5) Evaluate validation and trials are conducted to determine the feasibility of illustrated reading book media. The average percentage of validation results, which is 98.82% with a very good category. The results of the interviews showed students' positive responses to picture reading media. Picture reading media is appropriate to use for learning to read the beginning of grade I elementary school students
