Abstract

Melalui pengembangan wawasan seni budaya Nusantara, diharapkan akan menumbuhkan rasa bangga terhadap budaya tradisi bangsanya sendiri. Selain itu, proses penyadaran seni-budaya Nusantara akan lebih menguatkan identitas budaya visual Indonesia yang memiliki keunikan dan kearifan lokal yang adiluhung. Surat Raja berbahasa Melayu merupakan bukti tingginya budaya tulis menulis yang disertai ornamen, tata etiket dan standar artistik yang tinggi di seluruh Nusantara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan metode Design Base Research (DBR). Dari hasil penelitian dapat penulis simpulkan, ornamen surat yang digunakan adalah motif bunga, daun dan pola geometris. Pola arabesk atau motif daun yang bersambung-sambung, hampir sama seperti motif yang terdapat pada pendekorasian Alquran, arsitektur muslim, dan kerajinan tangan Indonesia. Urgensi penelitian ini menjadi satu inovasi pembelajaran, khususnya dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar digital interaktif yang berbasis budaya lokal bagi generasi milenial. Oleh karena itu pengembangan bahan ajar ornamen ini dirancang ke dalam bentuk digital interaktif agar adaptif dengan perkembangan budaya generasi muda saat ini. Bahan ajar digital interaktif ini dapat diunduh dan diaplikasikan oleh para pengajar dan pelajar melalui perangkat handphone atau yang berbasis android dan windows. Kata Kunci: ornamen, surat emas (golden letters), inovasi pembelajaran, bahan ajar digital interaktif. ABSTRACT Through the development of insight into the arts and culture of the archipelago, it is hoped that it will foster a sense of pride in the traditional culture of their nation. In addition, the process of raising awareness of the arts and culture of the archipelago will further strengthen the identity of Indonesia's visual culture, which has uniqueness and great local wisdom. The Raja's letter in Malay is evidence of a written culture accompanied by ornamentation, etiquette, and high artistic standards throughout the archipelago. The research method used is a qualitative approach by optimizing the use of design base research methods. As the result of research, the writer concludes that the letter ornaments used are floral motifs, leaves, and geometric patterns. The arabesk pattern or continuous leaf motif is almost the same as the motifs found in the decoration of the Koran, Muslim architecture, and Indonesian handicrafts. The urgency of this research is to become a learning innovation, especially in developing interactive digital teaching materials based on local culture for the millennial generation. Therefore, the development of ornamental teaching materials is designed in a digital interactive form to be adaptive to the current cultural developments of the younger generation. These interactive digital teaching materials can be downloaded and applied by teachers and students via mobile devices or those based on android and windows.
