Abstract

Penelitian ini berasal dari fenomena yang penulis temukan, bahwa kualitas pendidikan saat ini tengah mengalami perubahan dikarenakan dampak dari munculnya wabah virus Covid-19. Salah satunya adalah kurangnya motivasi siswa untuk belajar bahasa Korea secara mandiri di ekstrakulikuler bahasa Korea SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan learning autonomy, motivasi belajar bahasa Korea dan hubungan antara keduanya di SMK Negeri 1 Bandung pada saat pandemi Covid-19. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori learning autonomy dari Saragih dan teori motivasi belajar dari Keke. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada responden kelas 10 dan 11 (45 siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakulikuler bahasa Korea). Kemudian peneliti mengukur persentase dari setiap pernyataan di dalam angket yang mewakili dari setiap indikator yang ada pada teori learning autonomy dan teori motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 32 siswa yang memiliki learning autonomy yang sangat kuat/sangat tinggi dan 13 siswa lainnya memiliki learning autonomy yang kuat/tinggi. Untuk motivasi belajarnya terdapat 20 siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar yang sangat tinggi, 23 siswa memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi dan 2 siswa lainnya memiliki motivasi belajar pada kategori cukup/sedang. Sedangkan hubungan learning autonomy dengan motivasi belajar bahasa Korea dapat didefinisikan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif satu sama lain dengan tingkat hubungan kategori sangat kuat yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat learning autonomy yang dimiliki siswa maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat motivasi belajarnya. Kata Kunci: learning autonomy, motivasi belajar, bahasa Korea, pandemi Covid-19 This research stems from a phenomenon that the authors found, that the quality of education is currently undergoing changes due to the impact of the emergence of the Covid-19 virus outbreak. One of them is the lack of student motivation to learn Korean independently in Korean language extracurriculars at State Vocational High School 1 Bandung. This descriptive quantitative study aims to describe the students autonomy and motivation in learning Korean language and the relationship between the two at State Vocational High School 1 Bandung during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research adopted theory of learning autonomy from Saragih and the theory of learning motivation from Keke. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents in grade 10 and 11 (45 students who took Korean extracurricular activities). Then, the researcher measured the percentage of each statement in the questionnaire representing each indicator in the learning autonomy theory and learning motivation theory. The results showed that there were 32 students who had very strong/very high learning autonomy and 13 other students had strong/high learning autonomy. For learning motivation, there are 20 students who have very high learning motivation, 23 students have high learning motivation and 2 other students have moderate/moderate learning motivation. Meanwhile, the relationship between learning autonomy and the motivation to learn Korean can be defined that there is a positive relationship with each other with a very strong category relationship. It means that the higher the level of learning autonomy is, the higher the level of learning motivation will be demonstrated by students.
