Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Pendidikan berperan dalam pembentukan karakter manusia. Namun melihat kondisi saat ini, masih terjadi permasalahan moral. Sehingga dibutuhkannya pembinaan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Islamic Studies, nilai-nilai karakater yang terdapat dalam program Islamic Studies, dan implikasi program Islamic Studies terhadap pembinaan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, maka peneliti dapat mengetahui mengenai pembinaan karakter siswa melalui program Islamic Studies di SD Bosowa Al-Azhar Cilegon. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Guru kelas 4 Intern, Guru kelas 6 Reguler, Siswa kelas 1A dan 1B OBS (One Bosowa School), Siswa kelas 4 Intern, Siswa kelas 4 Reguler, Siswa kelas 5 Intern, dan Siswa kelas 6 Reguler SD Bosowa Al-Azhar Cilegon. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa: 1) pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas saat ini, pelaksanaan program Islamic Studies berjalan dengan baik, 2) nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam program Islamic Studies diantaranya: religius, kerja keras, tanggung jawab, gemar membaca, disiplin, mandiri, cinta damai, menghargai prestasi, dan komunikatif, 3) pelaksanaan program Islamic Studies mempunyai implikasi yang signifikan terhadap pembinaan karakter siswa dengan hasil respon siswa menjawab tepat sebesar 84% dan respon siswa menjawab tidak tepat sebesar 16%. Oleh karena itu, program Islamic Studies sangat direkomendasikan untuk sekolah lain supaya menerapkan program tersebut sebagai salah satu upaya pembinaan karakter siswa. ABSTRACT Education is an important aspect in human life. Education plays a role in the formation of human character. But the current condition, there are still problems looking at morals. So that character building is needed. This study aims to determine, analyze, and describe the implementation of the Islamic Studies program, the character values contained in the Islamic Studies program, and the implications of the Islamic Studies program on student character building. This research is a qualitative research using case study method. With a qualitative research approach, researchers can find out the character building of students through the Islamic Studies program at Bosowa Al-Azhar Cilegon Primary School. The subjects in this study were the Principal, Intern 4th grade teacher, Regular 6th grade teacher, students of grade 1 A and 1 B OBS (One Bosowa School), Intern 4th grade students, Regular 4th grade students, Intern 5th grade students, and Regular 6th grade students at Bosowa Al-Azhar Cilegon Primary School. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation studies, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: 1) in the current limited face-to-face learning, the implementation of the Islamic Studies program is going well, 2) the character values contained in the Islamic Studies program include: religious, hard work, responsibility, love to read, disciplined, independent, peace-loving, appreciative of achievement, and communicative, 3) the implementation of the Islamic Studies program has significant implications for the development of student character with the results of student responses responding correctly by 84% and student responses answering incorrectly by 16%. Therefore, the Islamic Studies program is highly recommended for other schools to implement the program as an effort to develop student character.
