Abstract

dua tingkat yang dapat mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan butir soal tes diagnostik pilihan ganda Pengembangan tes diagnostik tersebut dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi dan memodifikasi tahapan yang dikembangkan oleh Treagust. Metode penelitian ini didasari oleh metode Research and Development (R&D). Penelitan ini dilakukan di salah satu SMA di kota Bandung dengan subyek penelitian berjumlah 49 siswa pada uji reliabilitas dan 39 siswa pada aplikasi produk. Berdasarkan uji validitas isi dengan CVR, diperoleh 24 butir soal yang memenuhi kriteria validitas. Berdasarkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan SPSS 17, diperoleh 18 butir soal dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,703. Butir-butir soal tersebut termasuk dalam kategori reliabilitas tinggi. Jumlah butir soal yang diaplikasikan sebanyak 12 soal. Berdasarkan hasil aplikasi produk, teridentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, diantaranya yaitu: Jika dilarutkan dalam air, senyawa kovalen sangat polar tidak akan terionisasi, melainkan tetap dalam bentuk molekul (43,6%); Senyawa ion hanya dapat menghantarkan arus listrik dalam bentuk larutannya saja (41%); Elektrolit dapat berupa senyawa kovalen polar dan senyawa kovalen nonpolar, NaOH merupakan senyawa kovalen polar dan NaCl merupakan senyawa kovalen nonpolar (33,3%); Larutan elektrolit tidak dapat menghantarkan arus listrik (33,3%); dan Larutan elektrolit kuat dapat menghantarkan arus listrik dengan baik walaupun zat terlarutnya tidak mengalami ionisasi dalam larutannya, larutan CH3COOH merupakan larutan elektrolit kuat (30,8%). The purpose of this research is to develop a two tier multiple choice diagnostic test that can identifying high school student’s misconception of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. The development of diagnostic tests performed by adapting and modifying the stages developed by Treagust. This research method is based on the method of Research and Development (R&D). This research was conducted at one of high school in Bandung with study subjects totaling 49 students on test reliability and 39 students on the application of the product. Based on the contents validity test of the CVR, 24 items were obtained which meet the validity criteria. Based on a reliability test using SPSS 17, obtained 18 items with the reliability value of 0.703. Those items are included in the category of high reliability. The number of items were applied as many as 12 questions. Based on the results of product applications, student’s misconception were identified, such as: When dissolved in water, a very polar covalent compounds will not be ionized, but remain in the form of the molecule (43.6 %); ionic compounds can only conduct electricity in the form of the solution alone (41 %); electrolytes can be either polar covalent compound and nonpolar covalent compound, NaOH is a polar covalent compound and NaCl is a nonpolar covalent compounds (33.3 %); electrolyte solution can not conduct electricity (33.3 %); and strong electrolyte solution can conduct electricity very well although solute not ionized in the solution, CH3COOH solution is a strong electrolyte solution (30.8 %).
