Abstract

Peserta didik tunarungu kesulitan mengerjakan penjumlahan yang bersifat abstrak, mengakibatkan kesulitan untuk menyelesaikan operasi penjumlahan. Kesenjangan yang sangat jauh antara kemampuan penjumlahan saat ini dengan kemampuan penjumlahan yang harus sudah miliki peserta didik. Jika tidak diselesaikan akan menimbulkan akumulasi kepanjangan. Sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah pengembangan pendekatan yang sesuai dengan kondisi anak seperti prinsip kekonkritan/pengalaman penginderaan. Prinsip pembelajaran tersebut memiliki kesesuaian pada karakteristik pendekatan matematika realistik menggunakan konteks dunia nyata. Pengembangan pendekatan matematika realistik tersebut untuk mengatasi kesulitan penjumlahan serta harus melibatkan semua peserta didik untuk mengakomodasi berbagai kebutuhan yang berbeda untuk semua peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian adalah merumuskan pengembangan pendekatan matematika realistik pada kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) terdiri dari tiga langkah, langkah pertama kondisi objektif kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan dan kondisi objektif pembelajaran, Tahap kedua studi literatur dan perumusan pengembangan pendekatan matematika realistik pada kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan, tahapan ketiga eksperimen dengan desain penelitian (One group Pretest-Postest). Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya efektifitas pengembangan pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan pada peserta didik tunarungu kelas III SDLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rujukan untuk peneliti selanjutnya membantu meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan serta bagi guru dapat dimasukan sebagai bahan masukan pembelajaran pada operasi hitung penjumlahan. ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF REALISTIC MATHEMATICS APPROACH IN IMPROVING THE ABILITY OF SUMMARY CALCULATIONS TO THE DEAF STUDENTS Ummul Hasanah 1906404 Deaf students have difficulty doing abstract additions, This makes it difficult to complete the addition operation. There is a huge gap between the current addition ability and the addition ability that students must already have. If not resolved will lead to accumulation of length. So we need an approach that is appropriate to the child's condition, such as the principle of concreteness/sensing experience. The learning principle has conformity to the characteristics of a realistic mathematical approach using a real-world context.. The development of a realistic mathematical approach to overcome the difficulty of addition and must involve all students to accommo date the different needs for all students. The purpose of this research is to formulate the development of a realistic mathematical approach to the ability to add arithmetic operations. Research using the Research and Development (R&D) method consists of three steps, the first step is the objective condition of the ability to calculate addition operations and the objective condition of learning, The second stage is the study of literature and the formulation of the development of a realistic mathematical approach to the ability of arithmetic operations to add, the third stage of experimentation with research design (One group Pretest-Postest). The results showed the effectiveness of the development of a realistic mathematical approach to the ability to count operations in addition to the third grade deaf students of SDLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung. The implications of this research can be used as a reference for further researchers to help improve the ability of addition arithmetic operations and for teachers it can be included as learning input for addition arithmetic operations.
