Abstract

Paradigma publik tentang kekerasan masih sebagian besar selalu mengarah kepada hal-hal yang bersangkutan dengan fisik, sedangkan yang tidak bersangkutan dengan fisik seperti kekerasan yang bersifat verbal, emosional, dan psikologis seakan diabaikan. Berdasarkan fenomena di masyarakat keluraha Cipadung Wetan semua orang tua pernah melakukan kekerasan verbal hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua mengenai dampak dari kekerasan verbal itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari pengaruh kekerasan verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri anak usia 4-6 tahun di TK yang berada diwilayah kelurahan Cipadung Wetan. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah Terdapat pengaruh antara kekerasan verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri anak usia 4-6 tahun di TK yang berada diwilayah kelurahan Cipadung Wetan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 4-6 tahun yaitu sebanyak 34 sampel dari 37 populasi. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari dua skala, yaitu skala kekerasan verbal dan skala kepercayaan diri. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi product moment. Pengaruh yang diperoleh adalah 0,040 dengan signifikan 5 %. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Ini berarti terdapat pengaruh antara kekerasan verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri anak usia 4-6 tahun di TK yang berada diwilayah kelurahan Cipadung Wetan. ----- Public Paradigms on abuse still tend only to physical abuse, whereas other type of abuse that don’t correlates with physical such as verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse are not considered as one as if forgotten. Based on the phenomenon of community in Cipadung Wetan, all of the parents have done the verbal abuse by the cause of lack of information towards the impact of the verbal abuse itself. This study aims to find the influence of verbal abuse towards the self-confident of children aged around 4-6 year old that registered in kindergarten around Cipadung Wetan sub-district. Submitted hypothesis is that there is influence between the influence of verbal abuse towards the self-confident of children around 4-6 year old that registered in kindergarten around Cipadun Wetan sub-district. Method used in this study is quantitative with correlational approach. Subject used in this study is parents of 4-6 year old, collected 34 sample out of 37 population. There are 2 scaling technique used in data gathering, verbal abuse scale and self-confident scale. The data is amalized using Correlation product moment technique. Influence value achieved is 0.040 with 5% significance. The study result shows that the hypothesis is accepted. This means that the influence between verbal abuse towards self-confidence of children around 4-6 year old in kindergarten of Cipadung Wetan exists.
