Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk berupa multimedia interaktif berbasis metode suku kata untuk membaca permulaan siswa di kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan di kelas I sekolah dasar diantaranya adalah (1) Terdapat siswa yang belum bisa membaca; (2) Media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan kurang bervariasi; (3) Guru jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran selain buku pada pembelajaran membaca permulaan karena keterbatasan media. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan D&D (Design and Development) dengan menerapkan tahapan pengembangan menurut Peffers, dkk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media yang dikembangkan oleh penulis layak untuk digunakan. Ahli media memberikan penilaian dengan tingkat pencapaian 87%, ahli materi memberikan penilaian dengan tingkat pencapaian 97%, dan praktisi pendidikan memberikan penilaian dengan tingkat pencapaian 76,6%. Multimedia interaktif berbasis metode suku kata untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan di kelas I Sekolah Dasar memperoleh interpretasi sangat baik (sangat valid). Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini sudah layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. The purpose of this research is to produce interactive multimedia products based on the syllable method for early reading of students in grade I Elementary School. The research was motivated from the observation made in the first grade of primary school which are (1) Terdapat students who can not read; (2) Media thelessons used by the teacher in learning to read the beginning are less varied; (3) Teachers rarely use learning media other than books in early reading lessons because of media limitations. This research is a D&D development research (Design and Development) by applying the development stages according to Peffers, et al. The results showed that the media developed by the author was feasible to use. Media expert gave an assessment with an achievement rate of 87%, a material expert gave an assessment with an achievement rate of 97%, and an education practitioner gave an assessment with an achievement rate of 76.6%. Thus, interactive multimedia based on the syllable method for early reading learning in grade I Elementary School obtained a very good (very valid) interpretation. Therefore, it can be concluded that this learning medium is feasible to be used in learning.
