Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh pentingnya adaptabilitas karier bagi remaja khususnya peserta didik dalam mencapai tugas perkembangan karier salah satunya untuk mempersiapkan, merencanakan dan memutuskan pilihan karier. Terlebih peserta didik SMA yang secara langsung dihadapkan terhadap berbagai pilihan karier di masa depan, baik pemilihan jurusan maupun pemilihan karier untuk bekerja. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan adaptabilitas karier penting dimiliki oleh remaja khususnya peserta didik kelas XI dalam mempersiapkan pilihan karier di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran umum atau profil adaptabilitas karier peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 beserta rumusan program bimbingan karier untuk mengembangkan adaptabilitas karier yang layak untuk diimplementasikan di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Alat pengukuran data menggunakan kuesioner Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS). Populasi dan sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 414 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum tingkat adaptabilitas karier peserta didik kelas XI berada pada kategori tinggi atau adaptif, dan penelitian ini menghasilkan program bimbingan untuk mengembangkan adaptabilitas karier yang kelayakannya sudah diuji oleh pakar dan praktisi Bimbingan dan Konseling. The background of this research is based on the importance of career adaptability for adolescents, particularly students, in achieving career development tasks such as preparing, planning, and deciding on career choices, especially high school students who will be presented with a variety of career choices in the future, both in terms of studies and occupations. Therefore, it is important for students in class XI, to have career adaptability skills to prepare for future career choices. This research aims to get an overview or profile of class XI students' career adaptability for the 2020/2021 academic year at SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya, as well as the development of a career guidance program to improve career adaptability that can be applied in schools. A descriptive method with a quantitative approach was used in the research. The Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) questionnaire is used to collect data. The population and research sample were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya for the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 414 people. The results showed that in general, the level of career adaptability of class XI students was in the high or adaptive category, and this research resulted in a guidance program to develop career adaptability whose feasibility had been assessed by experts and practitioners in Guidance and Counseling.
