Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Temuan buku paket yang digunakan hanya berupa materi singkat dan kumpulan soal yang digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran serta kurang memfasilitasi kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Lembar Kegiatan Siswa yang beredar di sekolah hanya berupa uraian materi singkat, kumpulan soal yang digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran, kurang memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep siswa dan belum terintegrasi dengan kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, dibutuhkan suatu Lembar Kegiatan Siswa yang terintegrasi dengan kurikulum 2013, sesuai dengan syarat-syarat penyusunan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa yang ditetapkan dan dapat memfasilitasi siswa dalam proses penemuan konsep sehingga, siswa memperoleh pemahaman konsep yang sesuai sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perancangan dan validitas rancangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis model pembelajaran Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain dan Create (RADEC) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teknik delphi sebagai teknik perancangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis Model Pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain dan Create) serta dasar pembuatan lembar validasi ahli/ kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, rancangan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa berbasis model pembelajaran Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain dan Create (RADEC) sangat valid digunakan dalam memfasilitasi kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Based on the background, Student Activity Sheet that is integrated with the 2013 curriculum is needed, in accordance with the stipulated requirements for the preparation of the Student Activity Sheet and able to facilitate students in the concept discovery process so that students gain an appropriate conceptual understanding from the early age. This study aims to describe the design and validity of the Student Activity Sheet design based on the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create (RADEC) learning model to improve the conceptual understanding of fifth grade elementary school students. The author used a qualitative method approach which using the Delphi technique as a technique for designing Student Activity Sheet based on the RADEC Learning Model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create) and the basis for making expert validation sheet/ questionnaire. The result showed that the design of the Student Activity Sheet based on the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create (RADEC) learning model is very valid to be used in facilitating the conceptual understanding of fifth grade elementary school students.
