Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur cerita dan psikologi sastra yang ada pada novel Diarah Pati karya Margasulaksana. Dalam menganalisis struktur cerita dalam novel menggunakan teori Robert Stanton, sedangkan psikologi sastra menggunakan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Diarah Pati karya Margasulaksana. Adapun teknik dalam mengumpulkan data yaitu teknik telaah pustaka dan teknik studi dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik mengolah data menggunakan teknik analisis langsung. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan struktur cerita yang meliputi tema, fakta cerita (alur, tokoh dan penokohan, dan latar), dan sarana cerita (judul, sudut pandang, dan gaya bahasa). Tema dalam novel ini yaitu “Misteri”. Novel Diarah Pati alurnya campuran, tokohnya ada 12 termasuk pelaku utama dan juga pelaku tambahan, pengarang menggunakan teknik ekspositori dalam penokohan, sedangkan dalam latar yang ditemukan dalam novel ini meliputi latar tempat yang berpusat di Karawang dan rumah Juragan Sepuh, latar waktunya ada 14, dan latar sosialnya mencerikan kehidupan perbedaan kasta. Judul yang digunakan sesuai dengan yang dialami oleh pelaku dalam cerita yaitu Diarah Pati. Pengarang menggunakan sudut pandang orang ketiga tidak terbatas. Gaya bahasa yang ditemukan dalam novel ini ada enam, yaitu hiperbola, simile, personifikasi, litotes, pleonasme, dan juga babasan peribasa. Setiap pelaku yang ada dalam novel ini mempunyai aspek kepribadian yang berbeda-beda. Aspek kepribadian ini tidak lepas dalam id, ego, dan, superego. Kata Kunci: Novel, strukturalisme, psikologi sastra ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the structure of the story and literary psychology in the novel Diarah Pati by Margasulaksana. In analyzing the structure of the story in the novel using the theory of Robert Stanton, while literary psychology uses the theory of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud. This study uses qualitative approach, using descriptive method of analysis. The data source in this study is margasulaksana's novel Diarah Pati. The techniques in collecting data are library study techniques and documentation study techniques, while the techniques of processing data using direct analysis techniques. The result of this study is to describe the structure of the story that includes the theme, the facts of the story (plot, character and affirmation, and background), and the means of the story (title, point of view, and style of language). The theme in the novel is "Mystery". Diarah Pati's novel is a plot of storytelling, there are 12 characters including the main actors and also additional actors, the author uses expository techniques in the affirmation, while in the background found in this novel includes the background of a place centered in Karawang and the house of Juragan Sepuh, the background of which there are 14, and the social background enlightens the life of caste differences. The title used in accordance with the experienced by the perpetrator in the story is Diarah Pati. The author uses an unlimited third-person point of view. The language styles found in this novel are six, namely hyperbole, simile, personification, litotes, pleonasm, and also peribasa babasan. Each of the actors in the novel has different aspects of personality. This aspect of personality can not be separated in id, ego, and, superego. Keywords: Novel, structuralism, literary psychology
