Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman sikap nasionalisme siswa SD sangat berpengaruh pada penerapan sikap nasionalisme mereka dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya perbaikan dalam proses pembelajarannya baik itu dari mulai dari metode belajarnya, startegi dan sebagainya. Selain itu, berdasarkan observasi peneliti di salah satu SD di Purwakarta disinyalir bahwa pembelajaran sejarah di SD tersebut sangat membosankan. Kurangnya media media pembelajaran yang menarik membuat siswa tidak bersemangat ketika belajar sejarah. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencoba mengatasi permasalahan tersebut melalui upaya peningkatan sikap nasionalisme dengan cara menawarkan media pembelajaran yang menarik untuk pembelajaran sejarah berupa film dokumenter. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemahaman sikap nasionalisme siswa kelas V baik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan film dokumenter, serta mengetahui perbedaan siswa yang menggunakan film dokumenter dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 25 siswa kelas V terdiri dari 17 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 8 siswa kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan serta peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap sikap nasionalisme melalui film dokumenter yang dilihat melalui hasil tes siswa pada kelas eksperimen kemudian dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. ----- The low understanding of the nationalism attitude of elementary school students greatly affects the application of their nationalistic attitude in everyday life. Therefore, there is a need for improvements in the learning process, starting from the learning method, strategy and so on. In addition, based on the observations of researchers at an elementary school in Purwakarta, it was indicated that learning history at the elementary school was very boring. The lack of interesting learning media makes students not excited when learning history. Therefore, researchers try to overcome these problems through efforts to increase the attitude of nationalism by offering interesting learning media for historical learning in the form of documentary films. This study was conducted to determine the understanding of the nationalism attitude of fifth grade students before and after using documentary films, and to find out the differences between students who use documentary films and students who take conventional learning. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects in this study were 25 students in class V consisting of 17 students in the experimental class and 8 students in the control class. Collecting data in this study in the form of tests and documentation. The results of the research that have been carried out show that there are differences and an increase in students' understanding of the attitude of nationalism through documentary films seen through the test results of students in the experimental class and then compared with the control class.
