Abstract

Adanya pandemi covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia saat ini mengakibatkan pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara jarak jauh, mengakibatkan beberapa kendala dalam belajar diantaranya adalah guru kesulitan dalam menyampaikan materi kepada siswa. Jaringan yang tidak stabil serta kurangnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung PJJ mengakibatkan rendahnya keterampilan menyimak siswa dalam menangkap materi atau cerita yang disampaikan. Untuk itu diperlukan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang menarik dalam upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak siswa sekolah dasar serta dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menenggunakan metode peneliatan dan pengembangan berdasarkan metode Peffers dkk serta menggunakan model ASSURE dalam langkah pengembangan media. Terdapat enam langkah pengembangan model ASSURE yaitu analisis peserta didik, merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran, memilih metode, media dan materi, memanfaatkan media dan materi, mengajak peserta didik berpastisipasi, melakukan evaluasi dan revisi. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi literatur untuk pengumpulan data. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini berupa media podcast for learning dengan format story telling yang dirancang khusus untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak siswa sekolah dasar. Media podcast for learning telah mendapatkan respon positif serta penilaian dari para ahli, praktisi media, guru serta siswa. Hasil akhir dari penilaian tersebut menunjukan bahwa media podcast for learning telah layak untuk digunakan. The current Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has resulted in learning to be carried out remotely, resulting in several obstacles in learning, including the difficulty of teachers in delivering material to students. The unstable network and the lack of learning media that support PJJ resulted in the low listening skills of students in capturing the material or stories conveyed. For that we need interesting learning media and can solve these problems. This study aims to develop interesting learning media in an effort to improve listening skills of elementary school students and can support the distance learning process. This study uses a research and development method based on the Peffers et al method and uses the ASSURE model in the media development step. There are six steps in developing the ASSURE model, namely analyzing students, formulating learning objectives, choosing methods, media and materials, utilizing media and materials, inviting students to participate, conducting evaluations and revisions. In this study, researchers used interview techniques, questionnaires, and literature studies for data collection. The results of this research are podcast for learning media with story telling format which is specially designed to improve listening skills of elementary school students. The podcast for learning media has received positive responses and assessments from experts, media practitioners, teachers and students.
