Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berbagai permasalahan yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan literasu baca tulis siswa pada materi pengolahan data di sekolah dasar. Salah satu faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada materi pengolahan data adalah kurang terbiasanya siswa dalam kegiatan literat dan penggunaan pendekatan serta media pembelajaran yang kurang membangun minat dan motivasi anak dalam melaksanakan kegiatan literasi dan pembelajaran materi pengolahan data, sehingga perlu hadir solusi atas permasalahan tersebut. Salah satu solusinya yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) berbantuan komik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada materi pengolahan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaiman apengaruh pendekatan CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) berbantuan komik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi baca tulis pada materi pengolahan data siswa kelas V. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah Pre-Eksperimen dengan one-grup pretest-posttest design. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 24 siswa kelas V SD. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes uraian sebanyak 2 butir soal yang masing-masing butir soal memiliki 5 pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Pendekatan CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) berbantuan komik memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi bac atulis pada materi pengolahan data siswa kelas V; 2) Kemampuan literasi baca tulis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan menerapkan pendekatan CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) berbantuan komik. Kata kunci: CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract), komik, literasi baca tulis, pengolahan data. ----- This research is motivated by various problems that affect the low literacy skills of students in data processing materials in elementary schools. One of the factors that are thought to influence the low literacy skills in data processing materials is the lack of familiarity of students in literacy activities and the use of approaches and learning media that do not build children's interest and motivation in carrying out literacy activities and learning data processing materials, so it is necessary to present a solution for this problem. the problem. One solution is to use the CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) approach with the aid of comics in improving literacy skills in data processing materials. This study aims to see how the influence of the comic-assisted CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) approach to improving literacy skills for fifth grade students. The research method used is Pre-Experiment with one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects used in this study were 24 fifth grade elementary school students. The research instrument used was a description test of 2 questions, each of which had 5 questions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded: 1) The comic-assisted CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) approach had an effect on increasing the literacy skills of fifth graders; 2) Students' literacy skills have increased by applying the comic-assisted CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) approach.
