Abstract
Penelitian ini; mengungkapkan isu pengembangan motivasi pada peserta didik yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di sekolah berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Tujuan; dalam penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi data utama dalam penelitian selajutnya berbasis motivasi dan isu gender dalam bulutangkis. Metode Penelitian; menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrument; menggunakan angket motivasi yang sudah diuji validitas dan reabilitas. Hasil Penelitian; Motivasi sangat rendah siswa putra sebesar 5 % dan putri 0 %, motivasi rendah siswa putra 38 % dan putri sebesar 35 %, motivasi sedang siswa putra sebesar 38 % dan putri sebesar 38 %, motivasi kategori tinggi siswa putra sebesar 8 % dan putri 19 % dan terakhir kategori sangat tinggi siswa putra sebesar 11 % dan siswa putri 8 %. Kesimpulan; penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa adanya keragaman motivasi peserta didik baik dari kelompok putra maupun kelompok putri. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pengaruh motivasi instrinsik, motivasi ekstrinsrik dan Amotivasi. Jika dilihat dari perbandingan rata-rata motivasi terlihat bahwa siswa putra lebih besar motivasinya dari siswa putri, sebesar 95,89 putra dan putri 89,11. This research; revealed the issue of motivation development for students who took part in extracurricular badminton at school based on gender. Aim; in this study is expected to be the main data in further research based on motivation and gender issues in badminton. Research methods; using descriptive research using a quantitative approach. Instruments; using a motivational questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Research result; Very low motivation for male students by 5% and female students 0%, low motivation for male students 38% and female students at 35%, moderate motivation for male students at 38% and female students at 38%, high category motivation for male students 8% and female students 19% and the last category is very high, male students are 11% and female students are 8%. Conclusion; This study illustrates that there is a diversity of motivation of students from both male and female groups. This is caused by the influence of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and amotivastion. When viewed from the comparison of the average motivation, it can be seen that male students are more motivated than female students, amounting to 95.89 boys and 89.11 girls.
