Abstract

Kebutuhan akan hiburan telah menjadi salah satu kebutuhan utama, terutama untuk masyarakat yang tinggal di kota-kota besar. Salah satu cara menikmati hiburan yang paling umum dilakukan masyarakat adalah dengan menonton pertunjukan. Gedung-gedung pertunjukan sudah banyak dibangun di kota-kota besar, tetapi fungsinya menggabungkan tiga jenis pertunjukan sekaligus, yaitu pertunjukan musik, seni tari, dan drama. Oleh karena itu, sistem akustik pada gedung pertunjukan tidak optimal. Selain itu preferensi masyarakat terhadap musik klasik terbilang rendah. Meskipun demikian, musik klasik di Indonesia memiliki potensi yang cukup tinggi. Sudah ada banyak komunitas-komunitas musik klasik dari berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Perancangan concert hall ini bertujuan untuk mewadahi kegiatan komunitas musik klasik tersebut dan berusaha untuk memunculkan konektivitas antara masyarakat luas dengan penggiat musik klasik. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan suatu wadah sebagai tempat untuk menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan rasa apresiasi terhadap musik klasik di masyarakat luas. Arsitektur metafora gunakan dengan tujuan mentransfer konsep-konsep musik klasik ke dalam konsep arsitektural. Dalam hal ini bentuk sonata dipilih menjadi objek metafora karena merupakan bentuk musik klasik yang paling umum digunakan dalam karya musik klasik. Konsep bentuk sonata diinterpretasikan dalam desain concert hall melalui proses metafora mencakup pada konsep gubahan massa, dan konsep zonasi. The need for entertainment has become one of the main needs, especially for people who live in big cities. One of the most common ways to enjoy entertainment is to watch performances. Many of the performance halls that have been built in big cities combined the three types of performance, namely music, dance, and drama perfomances. Therefore, the acoustic system in the theater is not ideal. In addition, people's preference for classical music is relatively low. Nevertheless, classical music in Indonesia has a high potential. There are many classical music communities from various circles of society. The design of this concert hall aims to accommodate the activities of the classical music community and to create connectivity between the general public and classical music activists. Thus, it needs a place as a place to grow and develop a sense of appreciation of classical music in the general public. The use of metaphor architecture is to transfer classical musical concepts into architectural concepts. In this case, the sonata form is chosen as the object of metaphor because it is the most common form of music used in classical music pieces. The concept of sonata form is interpreted in the concert hall design through a process of metaphor including the massing and zoning.
