Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran yang inovatif yaitu dengan menerapkan model Kooperatif Tipe Picture and Picture, adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model kooperatif tipe picture and picture terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Deskripsi dan pengaruh dari model tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan subjek tunggal atau Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah empat siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata nilai akumulasi setiap subjek pada keterampilan menulis deskripsi fase baseline yaitu subjek VM 57%, subjek MM 56,6%, subjek AR 48,7%, dan MI 55,33%, sedangkan fase intervensi setelah penerapan model kooperatif tipe picture and picture rata-rata nilai akumulasi yaitu subjek VM 93,3%, subjek MM 93,3%, subjek AR 90,66% dan subjek MI 93,3%, dari hasil rata-rata nilai akumulasi tersebut setiap subjek menunjukan peningkatan pada fase intervensi sehingga pembelajaran menggunakan model Kooperatif Tipe Picture And Picture dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Efektivitas tersebut didukung oleh persentase overlap rendah yaitu 0%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe picture and picture berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis deskripsi siswa. To overcome these problems the researchers applied an innovative learning model, namely by applying the Picture and Picture Type Cooperative model, while the purpose of this study was to determine the students' description writing skills before and after using the Picture and Picture type cooperative model on the Description Writing Skills and the effect of the model. the. The research method used is an experimental method with a single subject or Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B design. The subjects used in this study amounted to four students. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, and tests. The results showed that the average accumulated value of each subject in the descriptive writing skill of the baseline phase was 57% VM subject, 56.6% MM subject, 48.7% AR subject, and 55.33% MI, while the intervention phase after the application of the cooperative model the type of picture and picture the average accumulation value is VM subject 93.3%, MM subject 93.3%, AR subject 90.66% and MI subject 93.3%, from the results of the average accumulation value each subject shows an increase in the intervention phase so that learning using the Picture And Picture Type Cooperative model can affect student learning outcomes. The effectiveness is supported by the low overlap percentage, which is 0%. So it can be concluded that the application of the picture and picture type cooperative model has an effect on students' description writing skills.
