Abstract
Tujuan peneltian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran deskripsi tentang pelaksanaan pendidikan seni budaya berbasis kearifan lokal dalam membangun karakter siswa di sekolah SMP, sebagai sampelnya mengambil Yayasan Atikan Sunda (YAS) di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dalam paradigma penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, studi observasi, studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Hasil temuan di lapangan menunjukan bahwa konsep pendidikan seni budaya yang diterapkan di SMP YAS Bandung berbasis kearifan lokal yang mengangkat materi-materi seni dari daerah sekitar. Proses pendidikan seni budaya berbasis kearifan lokal yang dilaksanakan di SMP YAS Bandung dilakukan pada pembelajaran seni tari dan seni musik karawitan dan teater. Sistem manajemen sekolah yang diterapkan mendukung pada penyelenggaraan pendidikan seni budaya berbasis pendidikan budaya lokal dengan muatan materi pelajaran dalam kurikulum mengangkat kearifan budaya lokal. Membangun karakter siswa dalam pendidikan seni budaya dapat dilakukan melalui penanaman nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang diberikan dalam materi pelajaran di sekolah. SMP YAS Bandung sebagai salah satu sekolah yang berhasil menerapkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran seni budaya. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Seni Budaya, Pendidikan Karakter, Kearifan Lokal The purpose of this research is to obtain a description of the implementation of cultural arts education based on local wisdom in building the character of students in junior high schools, as a sample taking the Atikan Sunda Foundation (YAS) in Bandung City. The research method used in this study is a case study method in a qualitative research paradigm. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation studies, documentation studies and literature studies. The findings in the field show that the concept of cultural arts education applied at YAS Bandung Junior High School is based on local wisdom that raises art materials from the surrounding area. The process of cultural arts education based on local wisdom which was carried out at YAS Bandung Junior High School was carried out in learning the art of dance and musical arts and theater. The school management system implemented supports the implementation of cultural arts education based on local cultural education with the content of the subject matter in the curriculum elevating local cultural wisdom. Building the character of students in arts and culture education can be done through inculcating the values of local wisdom given in the subject matter at school. SMP YAS Bandung is one of the schools that has succeeded in applying the values of local wisdom in learning arts and culture. Keywords: Cultural Arts Education, Character Education, Local Wisdom
