Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang bervariasinya guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hasil belajar sebelum penerapan metode mind mapping, mengetahui aktivitas siswa ketika pembelajaran menggunakan metode mind mapping, mengetahui hasil belajar sesudah penerapan metode mind mapping. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model spiral Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Purwamekar yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa sebelum diterapkan metode mind mapping menunjukan siswa yang tuntas belajar sebesar 27,27%. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus I menunjukan presentase 40,45% dengan kategori tingkat aktivitas sedang, pada siklus II menunjukan presentase 71,13% dengan kategori tingkat aktivitas sangat tinggi. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I setelah diterapkan metode mind mapping menunjukan presentase siswa yang tuntas belajar sebesar 45,45%, pada siklus II menunjukan presentase siswa yang tuntas belajar sebesar 95,45%. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, metode mind mapping. ----- This research is motivated by the lack of variety of teachers in applying the learning model and the low level of student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine learning outcomes before using the mind mapping method, knowing student activities when the learning process uses the Mind Mapping method, knowing the learning outcomes after using the mind mapping method. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Taggart spiral models. The subjects of this study were the second grade students of SDN Purwamekar, totaling 22 students. The research instrument used is observation, test, and documentation. The results showed that student learning outcomes before the mind mapping method was applied showed the percentage of students who had completed learning by 27.27%. Student activity in the first cycle showed a percentage of 40.45% with a moderate activity level category medium, in the second cycle shows a percentage of 71.13% with a very high activity level category. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle after the mind mapping method was applied showed the percentage of students who had completed learning by 45.45%, in the second cycle, the percentage of students who finished learning was 95.45%.
