Abstract

Perilaku asertif ditunjukan dengan memiliki harga diri dan menghormati diri sendiri, mengenali kekuatan dan keterbatasan diri, menilai yang dipikirkan dan dirasakan serta mengekspresikannya secara jelas, langsung dan tepat. Anak yang kurang memiliki perilaku asertif cenderung memiliki resiko menjadi korban bullying dan berpotensi mengalami berbagai masalah psikologis dan emosional yang akan menghambat perkembangannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan perilaku asertif siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang menjadi korban bullying dengan menggunakan konseling model SPICC. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen kuasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket perilaku asertif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Kelapa Tujuh yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t-test untuk membandingkan skor rata-rata gain perilaku asertif siswa kelas IV korban bullying di SD Negeri 1 Kelapa Tujuh sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah mendapat perlakuan (posttest). Hasilnya perilaku asertif siswa berada pada kategori sedang dan menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata 0,35 poin antara pretest dan posttest artinya konseling model SPICC efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku asertif siswa kelas IV korban bullying di SD Negeri 1 Kelapa Tujuh tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Kata Kunci : Konseling Model SPICC, Perilaku Assertif Siswa SD Assertive behavior is shown by having self-esteem and self-respect, knowing one’s own strengths and limitations, assessing what is on the mind and perception, and being able to express the thoughts and feelings clearly, directly, and appropriately. Children with a lack of assertive behavior have the risk to be victims of bullying and have the potentials to face various psychological and emotional problems that will hinder their development. The research aimed to improve the assertive behavior of the fourth graders of a primary school who were victims of bullying with The SPICC counseling model. The method was experimental, using a quasi-design. The technique of data collection employed was questionnaire of assertive behavior. The sample for this research was the fourth graders of State Primary School 1 Kelapa Tujuh, gained using purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using t-test to compare the average gain score of the assertive behavior of the fourth graders at State Primary School 1 Kelapa Tujuh who were victims of bullying before (pretest) and after receiving treatment (posttest), and the result is the student’s assertive behavior are on medium categories and there is deferences 0,35 point. That’s mean the SPICC counseling model was effective in improving the assertive behaviors of the fourth graders at State Primary School 1 Kelapa Tujuh who were victims of bullying of the 2012/2013 school year.
