Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur cerita novel Kasambet karya Ahmad Bakri yang juga dianalisis nilai-nilai etnopedagogik yang terkandung di dalamnya, sebagai alternatif untuk bahan ajar membaca novel di SMP hususnya kelas IX. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskripsi dengan teknik studi pustaka. Hasil dari panalungtikan ini adalah struktur cerita yang terdiri dari tema tentang kehidupan anak-anak di desa. Fakta carita yang ditemukan dari novel Kasambet terdiri dari alur ceira maju, latarnya terbagi dua ada di dalam dan luar ruangan. Pelaku yang ada di novel ini ada 35 tokoh, yang terdiri dari tokoh utama dan tokoh pembantu. Dari sarana sastranya novel ini berjudul Kasambet. Sudut pandang pengarang menggunakan orang ketiga yang tidak terbatas dan segala tahu. Bahasa yang dipakai merupakan Bahasa sehari-hari yang sesuai dengan undak usuk basa Sunda dan mudah dipahami oleh anak-anak. Didalam ceritanya terdapat nilai-nilai etnopedagogik karakter Urang Sunda yaitu cageur, bener, bageur, pinter, singer dan pangger. Isi cerita novel ini mengandung 18 pendidikan karakter yang dikeluarkan Kemendiknas. Manfaat dari penelitian ini diharapkan bisa membantu dalam pembelajaran membaca novel karena telah sesuai dengan kriteria memilih bahan ajar. This research aim to describe the story from the novel 'Kasambet' by Ahmad Bakri which also analyzed the ethnopedagogic values contained within it, as an alternative for teaching materials to novel reading in Junior high school, particularly 9th graders. The method utilized is descriptive method with literature study techniques. The research result is a story structure consisting of themes about the lives of children in the village. The facts about the story found from the novel 'Kasambet' consists of a progressive advanced storyline, rhe setting is divided into two parts, indoors and outdoors. There are 35 characters in this novel, consisting of the main character and the supporting characters. From the literary means, this novel is entitled 'Kasambet'. The author's point of view uses an infinite and all-knowing third person. The language used is colloquial language that is in accordance with Sundanese steps and is easy to comprehend by children. In the story, there are ethnopedagogic values of Urang Sunda characters, namely cageur, bener, bageur, pinter, singer, and pangger. The contents of the novel's plot contain 18 character education issued by the Ministry of National Education. The benefits of this research is expected to be able to assist in novel reading learning because it is in accordance with the criteria for selecting teaching materials.
