Abstract

Penelitian ini diperlukan karena dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi siswa diharapkan mampu membuat sebuah karangan narasi yang padu dan menarik agar isi pesan dalam karangan tersebut dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada pembaca dan tidak membuat jenuh saat membacanya. Tetapi kenyataannya masih banyak faktor yang membuat siswa sulit untuk menulis sebuah karangan contohnya seperti kurangnya kosa kata bahasa yang mereka miliki, sulitnya menentukan tema, dan ketidakmampuan menjabarkan idenya kedalam tulisan, yang mana semua faktor tersebut menghambat terciptanya sebuah karangan narasi yang padu dan menarik. Dari kesulitan-kesulitan tersebut maka penelitian ini akan membahas kohesi dan koherensi yang terdapat dalam antologi cerpen Hari-Hari Hello. Setelah itu penelitian ini membahas penggunaan kohesi dan koherensi tersebut dalam cerpen yang bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi yang dibuat oleh guru dan sebagai referensi bagi siswa dalam menulis karangan narasi agar karangan yang ditulisnya dapat padu dan menarik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data yang ada dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi. Peneliti membatasi subjek penelitian yaitu hanya pada cerpen Rumus Keriting dan cerpen Hello Potter. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dari hasil analisis yaitu didapatkannya kohesi dan koherensi pada cerpen Rumus Keriting dan pada cerpen Hello Potter. Dengan begitu dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerpen Rumus Keriting dan cerpen Hello Potter merupakan cerpen yang padu karena terdapat kohesi dan koherensi yang digunakan di dalam ceritanya dan memungkinkan untuk menjadikan cerpen tersebut sebagai bahan pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi. This research is needed because in learning to write narrative essays, students are expected to be able to make a compelling and interesting narrative essay so that the contents of the message in the essay can be conveyed well to the reader and do not get bored when reading it. But in reality, there are still many factors that make it difficult for students to write an essay. For example such as, lack of vocabulary that they have, the difficulty of determining the theme, and the inability to describe his ideas into writing, in which all these factors hinder the creation of a coherent narrative essay and interesting. From these difficulties, this research will discuss the cohesion and coherence contained in the anthology of Hari-Hari Hello short story. After that this research discusses the use of cohesion and coherence in short stories which can be used as learning materials to write narrative essays made by the teacher and as a reference for students in writing narrative essays so that the essays they write can be coherent and interesting. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Existing data were analyzed using content analysis. Researchers limit the research subjects to only the Rumus Keriting short stories and Hello Potter short stories. The results of the research obtained from the results of the analysis are the cohesion and coherence of the Curly Formula short stories and the Hello Potter short stories. Thus, it can be concluded that the short story Formula Curly and the short story Hello Potter are a solid short story because there is cohesion and coherence used in the story and it is possible to make these short stories as learning materials to write narrative essays.
