Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masyarakat adat Cireundeu yang terkenal dengan kearifan lokalnya, di antaranya adalah makanan pokok singkong, kepercayaan, dan prinsip hidup. Kearifan lokal tersebut banyak menyebabkan para peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti tentang kearifan lokalnya, sedangkan tentang pengasuhan khususnya falsafah pengasuhan anak usia dini di kampung adat Cireundeu belum ada yang meneliti. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui falsafah pengasuhan anak usia dini yang diamalkan di kampung adat Cireundeu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui wawancara semiterstruktur kepada 2 ayah, 1 ibu yang memiliki anak usia dini dan 1 orang sesepuh adat. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik grounded theory. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Cireundeu memiliki filosofi lengkap tentang pengasuhan anak, mereka mempercayai bahwa pengasuhan anak itu dimulai jauh sebelum anak tersebut lahir, bahkan sebelum orang tuanya bertemu. Falsafah yang mereka yakini adalah anak cerminan orang tua dan anak pewaris adat. Falsafah pengasuhan anak tersebut dapat tergambar dari alasan-alasan di balik praktik-praktik pengasuhan anak, yaitu filosofi anak usia dini di Cireundeu, pengasuhan anak sebelum lahir, dan pengasuhan sesudah lahir. Pengasuhan anak di Cireundeu didasarkan kepada filosofi anak, yaitu anak sebagai titipan gusti, anak sebagai tapak lacak budaya, dan anak yang belum bisa mengerti. Semuanya terkandung di dalam setiap tahap pengasuhan sebelum dan sesudah lahir. Kegiatan pengasuhan tersebut melibatkan nilai spiritualitas, pendidikan adat, dan pendidikan simbol. This research is motivated by the indigenous people of Cireundeu, which are known for their local wisdom, including the staple food of cassava, beliefs, and life principles. This local wisdom causes many researchers to be interested in researching local wisdom, while on parenting, especially the philosophy of early childhood care in the traditional village of Cireundeu, no one has researched it. The purpose of this study was to determine the philosophy of early childhood care that is practiced in the Cireundeu traditional village. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method through semi-structured interviews with 2 fathers, 1 mother who had early childhood and 1 traditional elder. Data were analyzed using grounded theory techniques. The research findings show that the Cireundeu people have a complete philosophy of childcare, they believe that parenting begins long before the child is born, even before the parents meet. The philosophy that they believe is a reflection of the parents and children who are heirs to the custom. This parenting philosophy can be drawn from the reasons behind childcare practices, namely the philosophy of early childhood in Cireundeu, child care before birth, and care after birth. Childcare in Cireundeu is based on the philosophy of children, namely children as entrusted gusti, children as cultural traces, and children who cannot understand. Everything is contained in every stage of parenting before and after birth. These parenting activities involve the values of spirituality, indigenous education, and symbol education.
