Abstract
PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA TERPADU BERBASIS SASTRA ANAK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR KELAS RENDAH Abstrak Minat dan kemampuan membaca pada siswa SD kelas rendah merupakan bagian penting dalam perkembangan kemampuan literasi siswa agar tidak melompat dari kondisi praliterer menuju pascaliterer. Sementara itu, hasil Indeks Alibaca maupun PISA menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan literasi siswa SD di Indonesia. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan hasil penelitian pendahuluan yang menunjukkan rendahnya minat dan kemampuan membaca siswa SD kelas Rendah di Kabupaten Batang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran membaca terpadu berbasis sastra anak yang siap diterapkan terintegrasi dengan pembelajaran bahasa di sekolah dasar kelas rendah dan mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran membaca terpadu berbasis sastra anak terhadap minat membaca dan kemampuan membaca siswa SD kelas rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian pengembangan. Desain pengembangan tersebut dikelompokkan atas tiga prosedur pengembangan, yang meliputi: tahap pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pengujian. Uji coba dilakukan dalam rangka menyempurnakan perangkat pembelajaran dan mengetahui efektivitas produk yang dikembangkan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa sekolah dasar kelas rendah di Kabupaten Batang yang dilibatkan dalam uji coba produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model membaca terpadu berbasis sastra anak sudah teruji dalam meningkatkan minat membaca dan kemampuan membaca siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini tampak pada peningkatan minat membaca dan kemampuan membaca siswa SD kelas secara signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model terpadu membaca berbasis sastra anak. Peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas 1 karena karakteristik mereka yang lebih dini sehingga mempunyai rasa ingin tahu yang lebih besar terhadap sastra yang baru mereka temui. Pada kelas 2 dan kelas 3 mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan walaupun dengan persentase yang tidak setinggi pada kelas 1 karena siswa pada kelas ini telah mempunyai pengalaman berinteraksi dengan buku-buku dari pada siswa kelas 1. THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED READING LEARNING MODELS BASED ON CHILDREN'S LITERATURE TO IMPROVE READING INTEREST AND READING ABILITY OF EARLY CLASS ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS Abstract The background of this research is the low reading interest and low grade reading ability of elementary school students as the results of the preliminary research conducted. This is in line with the results of the Alibaca Index and PISA which show the low literacy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia. This study aims to produce an integrated reading learning model based on children's literature that is ready to be applied integrated with language learning in early grade elementary schools and to determine the effectiveness of children's literature-based integrated reading learning models on reading interest and reading ability of low grade elementary school students. The research method used is development research. The development design is grouped into three development procedures, which include: preliminary stage, development stage, and testing phase. Trials are carried out in order to improve learning tools and determine the effectiveness of the products being developed. The research subjects were early grade elementary school students in Batang Regency who were involved in the trial of the product being developed. The results showed that the integrated reading model based on children's literature has been tested in increasing reading interest and reading ability of elementary school students. This can be seen in the significant increase in reading interest and reading ability of elementary school students. This can be proven by the significant difference between before and after the implementation of learning using an integrated model of reading based on children's literature. The most significant increase was in grade 1 because of their earlier characteristics so that they had a greater curiosity about the literature they had just encountered. Meanwhile, grade 2 and grade 3 experienced a significant increase, although not as high as grade 1 because students in this class had more experience interacting with books than grade 1 students.
